I took a breather after the Freshman Showcase a few weeks ago. We had ten straight days of content from that event, highlighting every player who was signed up before the event. We also have another sizeable event coming up this weekend, being The Expo. Today, I'd like to continue highlighting a few players I'd like to spotlight before the event, as I'm traveling for a few open gyms around the state this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='855854' first='Morgan' last='Martinez']

The Wisconsin Lutheran wing is an intriguing talent who battled some injury issues over the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact']. Her effort is something that will help her team win meaningful games over her next three seasons at the high school level. She may not be a player who consistently scores in double figures at the high school level. However, she will be a player who will close out games.

[player_tooltip player_id='751247' first='Bailee' last='Parker']

The Vel Phillips Memorial guard missed most of, if not all, of this past season with a knee injury. The Spartans are a program that will rely on two upperclassmen in their backcourt who can handle the ball and create off the dribble. Parker's ability to space the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers could make a difference for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='556153' first='Kylie' last='Schultz']

While missing a mid-major commit for most of last season, Schultz did an excellent job of making plays with the ball in her hands. She looked confident with the ball and was able to get her teammates open looks at the basket. She is a player who I feel could be an impactful player for a competitive regional program at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='991141' first='Keira' last='Bailey']

There may not be a more intriguing player in the rising sophomore class than the Harford forward. There were very few minutes available in a talented Oriole frontcourt in the 24-25 season, where they narrowly fell to eventual state champions, Kimberly. However, with neither of those players back this winter, Bailey has an opportunity to make the Orioles' frontcourt her own. She has the physicality and motor to control the area around the basket, especially in a notoriously guard-oriented North Shore Conference. If I were to earmark a player who could surprise people this winter, Bailey would be on the list, best positioned to take a significant leap compared to where most people in the Southeast part of the state would think. She's one to keep an eye on.
