Without question, Katie was the most dominant player on the floor Monday night. She was knocking down threes with confidence, running point, and taking command as the floor general for her squad. Her impact went beyond scoring—jumping passing lanes for steals that turned into transition buckets, slicing through traffic to finish at the rim, and setting the tone on both ends. Even as just a sophomore, Katie is making a strong case to be locked into Westlake's starting five.

We found some new talent last night on the floor for Westlake. Rilynne's primary sport is volleyball, so she's flown under the radar until now, but she showed she could be a strong addition to a roster already built on solid chemistry. She was threading tight passes to cutters, swatting shots, and holding her own fronting the post. Still young, her skill set is raw but promising, and with more time on the hardwood, she could develop into a real impact player.

Brynn was hard to miss last night. She establishes a strong seal in the post, keeping her defender pinned on her backside and out of position. Add in her soft hands to snag tough passes, relentless work on the glass, and knack for getting deflections, and she's going to be a center Westlake leans on heavily this year—and one opponents will have to game plan for.

Quincy had a standout night, knocking down threes consistently and slicing through traffic to finish at the rim. On defense, she's a constant steal threat, disrupting passing lanes and turning defense into offense. Her court vision allows her to thread passes through heavy traffic, making her a dual threat on both ends of the floor.

Megan stood out with her court IQ and ability to read defenses, no matter the size or matchup. She attacked the rim without hesitation and consistently found open teammates with crisp passes. Beyond the box score, her hustle, smart rotations, and defensive presence made Alta look like a complete team ready to compete.
