Columbus Day was an opportunity to get in the gym and it was a great one to do so. Many times, particularly when it's cold outside and downpouring rain, the majority of the community likes to stay warm indoors. However, there was a clinic taking place in Riverside that brought out a handful of strong players.   Impressed would be an understatement, not because of all the skillsets underneath one roof, but more due to the fact that these young ladies were willing to put in the work to get better on an off day. Not only that, but the trainers in the gym ran them through an intense and versatile session that included dynamic warmups, all the way to game-like scenario reads. Best of all, the group presented a plethora of different age groups and they were all engaged. Witnessing the work up-close, there was no question that these 5 ladies will be successful this year: they're doing some things that many others just aren't locally. Cooper has already made a name for herself and has been in talks as one of the best middle schoolers on the East Coast. Playing with Exodus has put her in the forefront of the spotlight and she has yet to come up short. Tori would be just as mighty of a prospect even if she was a member of 2030. The way she can be used makes her a force to be reckoned with. She's lively on both ends of the floor, moves with a purpose and makes others around her better. Her hunger to want to get better at this young age will certainly propel her. There just aren't too many 2031 players with the type of arsenal she has.     [player_tooltip player_id='975765' first='Zareia' last='Colome'] (2028) | CG | Pawtucket   Colome has been written about many times, but this was actually the first time getting to see a workout of hers up close. She showed fluid movement from the beginning and one aspect of her game that stood out was her ability to change heights. Zareia doesn't have the fastest footspeed, but the deception tactics she plays with can really throw potential defenders off. Manipulating the ball with her handle as well as shifty body movements has proven to be lethal. The changing of heights while coming down hill or coming off the screens can cause pure havoc.   It's evident that she's a talented player with high scoring upside, however it'd be careless not to mention that Colome has the potential to be one of the top guards in the entire class. There's no question Zareia can be a dominant force; her consistency having commanding outputs over the competition this season will start to put her into new conversations. Take this as a challenge to unreservedly lay down the law and leave nothing on the table.     [player_tooltip player_id='1327213' first='Hannah' last='Erickson'] (2028) | SG/SF | St. Andrew's   Erickson firmly looked the part and was such a surprise to watch. It was clear after analyzing her workout that this is a player that's ready to make a large contribution to the team this season. It didn't matter where Hannah was, she seemed pretty comfortable. That poise displayed particularly in the movement shooting drills was eye opening. Erickson was relaxed, never rushing her shots, her ball-placement was consistently getting to her higher shot-pocket area and most of all, the footwork was there as she walked into all of her looks from range. Hannah also showcased strong, direct passes that always hit players where they were needed. Battling back from injury can be tough on the confidence sometimes, but there were no signs of Erickson slowing down, if anything it was the conviction she played with that stood out the most. It's obvious that this steady talent is ready to assist her St. A's squad this year. She's quite springy, which can easily make her a 2-way force. Cooper has played with high competition with Exodus, so she's used to elevating her game in the big moments. Alot of times the athletic players sometimes can get placed in sort of a box if the their skillset isn't developed yet. However, watching Savannah get to the basket with minimal dribbles, knocking down shots smoothly in movement made it clear just how potent she can be. If she gets consistent minutes this year as a freshman, she'll surely give that return on investment.     [player_tooltip player_id='1327214' first='Jamie' last='Andrews'] (2027) | PG | Bay View   It was clear Jamie cares deeply about improving her game. She was in tune with the details, making the necessary corrections on moves, even when coaches weren't looking. Andrews moves well with the ball in her hand, displaying a fine pace to go with her topnotch ball protection skills. She understands how to work the different levels of the defense and there's no surprise why BCRI just picked her up.
