In this article we name five middle school players who will producers at the Varsity level one day sooner or later. They just need to continue to stay in love with the game and getting better every day in their weaknesses, whatever those might be. If they do that, these will all be names we hear on a consistent basis in the near future time and time again.

[player_tooltip player_id='1353316' first='Alaina' last='Etten'] of Lady Martin Bros Select is a player out of the 2030 Class in Iowa that you should know if you don't already. Etten demonstrates that she already has a solid handle, an act of getting to the bucket off the dribble, with the ability to attack her opponent in a number of different ways. From what I've seen she usually likes to keep it simple and take what the defense is giving her but she is also skilled enough to make something happen out of thin-air if need be. Right now I would consider Alaina as a CG because she can play the 1 or 2 but she is really does well at the 1 spot with the ball in her possession a majority of the time. We still have a year before we will see Etten at the high school level but she is sure to be producer once she gets there.

The skill-set and natural ability that [player_tooltip player_id='1353318' first='Nalia' last='Naraine'] competes with is really impressive for her age level. Naraine is someone as a guard that plays off the ball more than as a PG right now. She can either attack off the dribble and get all the way to the bucket for a simple finish or she can step up and hit jumpers when she has space from behind the three point line. As of lately Naraine has demonstrated that she has elite footwork and knowledge of when to do what against her opponents. She has a nasty step through move that she isn't afraid to use off of her pickups near the basket, always giving herself an out in one way or another. We won't see Naraine at the high school level for two more years but once she gets there, she is such to be someone to watch out for from the Kalona area.

Waterloo Christian High School is getting a killer in [player_tooltip player_id='897801' first='Colette' last='Renaud'] at the PG position when she finally gets there. Renaud is as skilled as they come with the ball in her possession out on the hardwood. This is an active producer when she is leading her team by example. She might be player out of the 2032 Class but she knows how to maneuver around screens, she can score from all three offensive levels either with a lay up, floater, midrange pull up, or three point jumper, and she can orchestrate those around her to their positions if her team's system is out of place in any given moment. There is a lot to like out of this one. If she continues to get better over the next few seasons, she is sure to be someone to note moving into her Freshman year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1353317' first='Parker' last='Etten'], little sister of Alaina, is a chip off the old block. This is another talented guard prospect, that has shown promise for her grade level. Parker is guard and an offensive threat to say the least. She can either score it at a steady rate or she can pass to others around her that might end up open because of her ability to get into open space on the offensive end of the floor. Defensively, she gets it done. She gets her hands on a lot of deflections because of her natural instincts jumping towards the play and that stands out to anyone who might be watching. There is a lot to like about these sisters. If they are dedicated to this craft, they are going to be able to take things to some fun places in their careers as they get older.

[player_tooltip player_id='897811' first='Mayley' last='Levin']. Yup. There is one more Levin that the state of Iowa is going to have to compete against over the next few years. The Levin family always brings some really talented ballers to the court and that is no different with Mayley. This is a hooper that competes out of the 2031 Class and she will play for the Solon Spartans when she does finally get to the high school level. Mayley already demonstrates some impressive length, a natural ability on both offense and defense as a competitor, and she is only going to get better as she gets older. Just like her sisters did before her. Usually when you have situations like this the youngest sibling has the chance to become better than all of the rest because they can learn from those above them and that could be the case here. She seems to have all the physical size attributes that her sisters did, now she just needs to continue with the skill to pair along with that. Which is coming along nicely so I would expect her to be someone we hear about good amount in the somewhat near future.
