<p>One of the big events to kick off the high school season will be the Giants Basketball Showcase, which will take place on Saturday, November 22 at the Civic Center in Farmington. The eight-game showcase event will feature teams from St. Louis, Southeast Missouri and the St. Francois area.</p>

<p>One of the marquee matchups of the event will be the 2:40 p.m. game between Principia and St. Vincent in a battle of teams that advanced to the Final Four of the state tournament last season. Principia was the state runners-up in Class 3 while St. Vincent was the state runners-up in Class 2. </p>

<p>Another top team in the field is Jackson, which will field one of the top Class 6 teams in the state this season. Jackson will face a strong Hillsboro team in the event. Farmington is another strong team in the event that is coming off of a district championship season.</p>

<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri will be in the house on November 22 to cover the event.</p>
