This is the second time we've updated the 2020 Class Rankings since the site launched last year and there has been some movement up and down the list and we expanded to 75 total players in the list. Here's a breakdown of the 2020 Top 10. Maddie Scherr, Ryle - The only McDonald's All American in the state and the heavy favorite to be named Miss Basketball next month, Scherr just continues to roll through a very impressive year and career overall. The fact that Kentucky doesn't have assists as an official statistic is doing a disservice to how impressive a season Maddie is having. She's had multiple triple doubles this year and has Ryle surging towards a return trip to Rupp to defend their state title. She's headed to Oregon for college ball next season. She was named a finalist for Miss Basketball today. T'aziah Jenks, Mercy - A versatile player who can affect the game on both ends of the floor, Jenks has thrived this season as Mercy has played one of the toughest schedules in Kentucky. Headed to West Virginia, "TT" has averaged a double-double this season with 19 points and 10 rebounds per game and her best basketball is still ahead of her as she should become a better perimeter shooter at the next level. She was named a finalist for Miss Basketball today. Whitney Hay, Elizabethtown - Whitney moves into the Top 3 with this update. The future Belmont Bruin is one of the most complete offensive players in the Senior class as she can score the ball all over the floor and does it with efficiency. Hay has missed several games in her Senior year but she's got her team in position to peak at the right time and get to Rupp Arena next month. She was named a finalist for Miss Basketball today. Erin Toller, Sacred Heart - Sacred Heart is the heavy favorite to win State in March and the return of Toller was a huge boost to the Valkyries. After missing her Junior season, she moves into the top 5 and is having a big season before she heads to Kentucky this summer. Erin is also a finalist for Miss Basketball. Shelby Calhoun, CAL - Shelby slides a couple of spots but not because of decreased performance on her part. She's still a great defender and rebounder with a huge upside. She will attend Virginia Tech next season after being one of the best rebounders in Kentucky the last 4 years. She currently averages a double-double at 16 points and 13 rebounds and was named a finalist for Miss Basketball today. Malea Williams, Scott County - Another finalist for Miss Basketball (seeing a trend here?), Williams has burst on the scene with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career. Not to mention a whole lot of blocked shots. Malea has had a whole lot of college offers in her career and is the top unsigned prospect in the state. Kennedy Igo, George Rogers Clark - Yet another finalist for Miss Basketball, Igo is one of, if not the best shooter in the Senior class. She's headed to Northern Kentucky for college but first she's trying to get the Lady Cards back to Sweet 16 for a 4 peat. Kennedy has had an outstanding 4 year career and has embraced a leadership role with a less experienced GRC team this season. Ally Collett, South Laurel - The Western Kentucky signee had an unfortunate injury early in the season but it turned out to not be as bad as expected and she's now back on the court. She's also a finalist for the Miss Basketball award and leading a South team that will be among the contenders to win it all at Rupp. A 20 point per game scorer, Ally is going to have a chance to get on the court early and often for WKU next year. Kendall Wingler, Meade County - If rankings were based only on this season, Wingler may be at the top of the list. She's the leading scorer in the state for boys and girls at almost 32 points per game and she does it with efficiency you don't see very often. Shooting 50% from the field, 47% from three and 90% from the free throw line. She's headed to EKU for college and is, you guessed it, a finalist for Miss Basketball. Hope Sivori, Mercy - Hope moves into the top 10 in the latest ranking and has had a very strong season at Mercy, sharing the spotlight with TT Jenks. Sivori is a fun player to watch because of how hard she plays. She's quick with the ball in her hands and plays with aggression that you don't often see from a smaller guard like her. She is still available and has multiple D1 and high D2 offers to choose from at the next level.
