Chasing 1,000 Rebounds

<p>With the start of the 2025-26 season less than two weeks away, here are some of the NJ girls chasing the 1,000 career rebound total. These young ladies are not afraid to mix it up and get after it on the inside. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Seniors</span></strong></h2>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='601340' first='Sadie' last='Fleming'] - Manville</h2>   <p>Perhaps nobody has an easier path to 1,000 rebounds and points than Sadie. She enters her senior season at Manville with 961 rebounds and 896 points. She has 10+ rebounds in 55 of 78 career games. She had 4 games of 20+ rebounds as a junior including a career high of 24 in a game against Koinonia. She has gone over 300 rebounds in every season thus far and this year should be no different. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='871512' first='Ashley' last='Losco'] - Belvidere</h2>   <p>Entering her senior season, Ashley has collected 681 rebounds in just two seasons on varsity. She is on pace to get to that 1,000 rebound mark in her senior year. She has had 10+ rebounds in 40 of 55 career games. As a junior, Ashley had 9 double doubles. In the opener of her junior season against Bound Brook she finished with career highs in points and rebounds with 20 and 24 respectively.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='601270' first='Mackenzie' last='Reilly'] - Sussex Tech</h2>   <p>Mackenzie enters her senior year just 210 rebounds short of 1,000 for her career at Sussex Tech. That is a number she has eclipsed in each of her first 3 seasons with a high of 330 as a junior. In her junior year she had 13 double doubles. She had 10+ rebounds in 19 of 24 games. Mackenzie went for 20+ rebounds 4 times last year with a career high of 23 against Hopatcong. She enters her senior year with an active streak of 11 straight games with 10+ rebounds.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Juniors</span></strong></h2>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='831437' first='Khalia' last='Lewis'] - Our Lady of Mercy</h2>   <p>In two seasons at Our Lady of Mercy, Khalia has 793 rebounds. That goes along with her 920 points. She has a double double in 44 of 57 career games and has 10+ rebounds in 48 of those games. She has gone for 20+ rebounds 10 times in her career including a career high of 27 in a game against Wildwood in her freshman season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kaitlyn Nellegar - Nutley</h2>   <p>Kaitlyn enters her junior season with 457 rebounds. 374 of those came in her 27 games as a sophomore. She had double figures on the glass in 23 of 27 games. She had a career hight of 22 in a game against Columbia. Kaitlyn had 14 double doubles and also led her Nutley team in scoring. With continued production on the glass she will easily surpass 1,000 career rebounds in the next two years.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='835458' first='Georgia' last='Sode'] - Brearley</h2>   <p>Georgia sits just below 500 rebounds entering her junior year. She has 482 after two seasons at Brearley and had 297 in her sophomore. She is likely to finish her career with 1,000 points and rebounds. She had 15 double doubles in 22 games. She had double figures in rebounds in 15 games and had 20+ three times. She had career highs in points and rebounds with 33 and 30 respectively in a game against Metuchen. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Sophomores</span></strong></h2>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1202383' first='Gianna' last='Albanese'] - Nutley</h2>   <p>Gianna had 288 boards as a freshman for Nutley. She had 18 games with 10+ rebounds, including a stretch of 7 straight in January. Her career high was 19 against Indian Hills in February. She had 7 double doubles on the season. With continued growth on the glass and on her 189 points as a freshman, we could be looking at a 1,000 point scorer and rebounder in the future.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1197369' first='Alyssa' last='Iduh'] - Piscataway</h2>   <p>After starting her freshman season with 4 games of 10+ rebounds in her 1st 10 games, Alyssa had 12 games of 1+ rebounds over the last 15 games. She had a career high of 22 in a game against South Brunswick and also had 6 double doubles on the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1199462' first='Natalia' last='Glazewski'] - Sayreville</h2>   <p>Natalia is on pace for 1,000 careeer rebounds and points. She finished her freshman season with 285 rebounds and 282 points. She ended her season with 8 double doubles in her last 9 games and had 10+ rebounds in 17 of 26 games. Natalia also had a career high of 25 points in a game against Timothy Christian. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Marjury Lorenzo - Manchester Regional</h2>   <p>Marjury finished her freshman season with 283 rebounds. She had 10+ rebounds in 19 of 24 games and enters her sophomore season with an active streak of 12 straight games with 10 or more rebounds. Marjury had a career high of 18 rebounds in 4 separate games against Paterson Charter, Elmwood Park, Saddle Brook and Dwight Morrow. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1190935' first='Sage' last='Shaw'] - Highland</h2>   <p>Sage cleaned up everything that came off the glass in her freshman season at Highland HS. She finished her 1st season on the high school level with 404 rebounds. She never had less than 8 rebounds in a game and had double figures in rebounds in 23 off 26 games. She also had 8 games with 20 or more rebounds. She had 18 double doubles as a freshman. In a game agianst Salem Tech she was unstoppable setting career highs in points and rebounds with 30 of each. With 389 points in her freshman year, she is easily on pace to get to 1,000 in points and rebounds before her time at Highland is done. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='913948' first='Kayla' last='Williams'] - Lawrence </h2>   <p>Kayla is on her way to eclipsing 1,000 career points and rebounds after a monster freshman year at Lawrence. She finished with 306 points and 359 rebounds. She had 13 double doubles in 26 games. She had 10+ rebounds in 21 games and twice had a career high of 20 in games against West Windsor-Plainsboro North and South Brunswick. In that South Brunswick game she also put up a career high in scoring with 22 points.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1157917' first='JoJo' last='Yarde'] - Columbia</h2>   <p>Halfway through her high school career, JoJo is a little more than halfway to the 1,000 career rebound plateau. She enters her junior year with 514 rebounds in her career. She had 15 double doubles as a sophomore. She had 10+ rebounds in all 27 games. She had 20+ twice including a career high of 22 in a game against Nutley. JoJo also averaged 5+spg as a sophomore. </p>
