2020 6-1 W [player_tooltip player_id="118042" first="Savannah" last="Samuel"] – St. Francis – Oregon State [player_tooltip player_id="118042" first="Savannah" last="Samuel"] didn’t have her most efficient game but you could still tell why she’s headed to the Pac-12. Samuel is long and active. She creates her own offense off the dribble and can shoot from deep. She is slight of frame but has great functional strength to her wiry frame. Defensively, she rotates well and can come from the weakside to block shots. She finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks. 2020 6-2 F Kennedi Philson – St. Francis – Lynn Philson provided effort and defensive toughness. She did a great job defending [player_tooltip player_id="118096" first="Jillian" last="Hollingshead"], fronting the post. Philson has a long and strong build and uses her body to rebound in traffic. She finished with 6 points and 7 rebounds. 2020 5-7 F Jada Farrell – Holy Innocents’ Farrell came out hot and stayed hot throughout the game, going 9-13 from the field for a game-high 21 points. A big strong forward, Farrell hit mid-range shots and finished layups. If it weren’t for her big offensive boost, the outcome of the game could have been different. To play at the next level she will need to get quicker, but her brute strength and ability to absorb contact will make her stronger than most players come Day 1 in college. 2021 6-5 F [player_tooltip player_id="118096" first="Jillian" last="Hollingshead"] – Holy Innocents’ Hollingshead was held in check for most of the game but she still managed 11 points and 14 rebounds. Hollingshead is a nightmare to guard. She can attack from the wing, often times facing up and getting to the basket where she finishes through contact. She has range out to the three-point line and is a formidable shot blocker when challenged inside. Outside of her impact on the box score, she is a great leader. Hollingshead could be seen throughout the game communicating and lifting up her teammates. 2021 5-8 F Bernyla Sparks – Central-Talbotton A physically strong forward that plays under control, Bernyla Sparks recorded another double-double with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Sparks does a good job positioning herself for rebounds and has a good touch in the paint. She gathers herself and scores in traffic. Sparks plays at her own pace. 2020 5-6 PG Samerria Bryant – Wheeler County Bryant is an agile guard with some quickness. She is Wheeler County’s primary ballhandler and handled pressure well. She struggled with her shot but her two timely threes. She rebounded well for her size, finishing with 16 points rebounds. 2020 5-7 G Keyona Mincey – Wheeler County Keyona Mincey scored 10 of her team-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to lift Wheeler County to their first ever championship, 55-50. Mincey stretched the floor with two three-pointers. She made some tough drives to the basket and eurostepped past defenders. She has long arms and can defend on the perimeter.
