State Championship Friday Players To Watch

To say that last night’s 5A semifinals sent a message would be an understatement as Frisco Liberty and San Antonio Veterans Memorial advanced after both of their games went down to the wire. In 3A, the only team I know anything about, Woodville, also makes a return trip to the championship after winning going away and hoping to come away with the championship trophy however tonight’s the night and everything is going to be alright, for someone as the 6A semifinal has some, how do I say it, heavy hitters in action Cypress Creek-undefeated and ready to leave that way, that All American backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id="65878" first="Rori" last="Harmon"] and [player_tooltip player_id="97622" first="Kyndall" last="Hunter"] are ready for whatever. When I say AA, hold that quarter pounder after seeing a couple of ommissions behind pettiness this season however these are not only a couple of the best players in the country, they will be impact players in college almost immediately. Their supporting cast of [player_tooltip player_id="100112" first="Morgan" last="Hill"], [player_tooltip player_id="97930" first="Taylor" last="Jackson"], and Ally Harmon, not to mention their bench who has provided that "extra" during the playoffs, this is the team to beat McKinney-all I can say is [player_tooltip player_id="137410" first="Erin" last="Fry"] sizzled during the club season and it’s only fitting that she finishes her high school career in the city where club team had her on display but nevertheless, that pull-up is magical and she and [player_tooltip player_id="136350" first="Trinity" last="White"] make a nice 1/2 combination Duncanville-[player_tooltip player_id="66108" first="Deja" last="Kelly"], McDonald’s All American prospect in 5th grade to being selected before heading to North Carolina and her ability to take over games is second to none and this too would be a fitting end for her to win it in her former hometown. Converse Judson -the defending state champions are back and many thought it was all over after Corina Carter took her talents to New Mexico but the problem is [player_tooltip player_id="136314" first="Kierra" last="Sanderlin"] didn’t get the memo and after scoring, don’t quote me on this, 19 of her teams 21 fourth-quarter points, I’m close, she’s sending message via Western Union or telepathic that this ain’t over. Sophomore sensation [player_tooltip player_id="135387" first="Amira" last="Mabry"] and the rest of the squad agree, the game is played on the court and I wish I could see it but I couldn’t pass up the rodeo and hear No Problem tonight because that’s my, well me
