There are several solid combo guards out there, many will be juggled up or down on my next update but watching [player_tooltip player_id="136322" first="Mariah" last="Roberts"] (Arlington Martin) and [player_tooltip player_id="136324" first="Vasana" last="Kearney"] (South Grand Prairie) at the Spring Creek Mansfield Invitational gave me a different look at their games. I missed seeing [player_tooltip player_id="136326" first="Amaria" last="Fields"] (McKinney North) [player_tooltip player_id="136332" first="Kayla" last="Presley"] (Lehman) as well as [player_tooltip player_id="136339" first="Haley" last="Allen"] (Lewisville) but I caught a glimpse of [player_tooltip player_id="136330" first="Trinity" last="Garrett"] (Smithson Valley) a few looks at [player_tooltip player_id="136335" first="Alisa" last="Knight"] (Cedar Park) and countless looks at [player_tooltip player_id="136329" first="Adaora" last="Nwokeji"] (Summer Creek) to know this is one of the most solid positions for the class
[player_tooltip player_id="67946" first="AJ" last="Marotte"] (Vista Ridge)
Current Rank #4
Marotte can handle the ball in the open court, make passes as well as take defenders with ease from the wing but she can flat out shoot it from the outside
[player_tooltip player_id="67948" first="Jasmine" last="Shavers"] (Horn)
Current Rank #5
Shavers is a powerful guard that can get to the rim and post up smaller guards or hit the outside jumper from mid to long-range. She also rebounds on both ends
[player_tooltip player_id="67956" first="Jordyn" last="Newsome"] (Irving Macarthur)
Current Rank #6
Newsome can run the one efficiently but her scoring ability just needs to be let loose and she can score in droves, either attacking the basket or from outside
[player_tooltip player_id="97632" first="Sydney" last="Standifer"] (Argyle)
Current Rank #21
Standifer is solid in every aspect of her game, she creates her shot against a tight defense, she can hit the stop and pop from mid to long and she understands how to get to the rim
[player_tooltip player_id="136314" first="Kierra" last="Sanderlin"] (San Antonio Judson)
Current Rank #23
Sanderlin is just an absolute terror to defend, she scores so many ways and she’s hard to contain because of her power and desire. Handles the ball, makes good passes, defends and rebounds
[player_tooltip player_id="97915" first="Nyah" last="Wilson"] (Duncanville)
Current Rank #25
Wilson came off the bench for the state champion yet provided instant offense and was one of the teams leading scorers. She elevates on the jumper and over defenders
[player_tooltip player_id="136316" first="Autumn" last="Smith"] (Arlington Martin)
Current Rank #26
Smith plays within herself and gets hers in the flow and before you know it, double digits and usually close to a double-double. Outside, off the dribble, she just does it
[player_tooltip player_id="136318" first="Nicole" last="Petrakovitz"] (Oak Ridge)
Current Rank #28
Petrakovitz is one of the most explosive scorers in the class, she can attack, her body control gives you highlights galore but that long ball is smooth
[player_tooltip player_id="136321" first="Kiara" last="Jackson"] (South Grand Prarie)
Current Rank #31
Jackson ability to score with either hand off the dribble going full speed is certainly a plus but keep adding because that pull-up is something to defend
