A lot of players made noise for themselves this season as the junior season puts them in a particular position for their senior season. However, what was noticed was the talent all across the classifications, as particular players displayed dominance every single night. Churchill’s [player_tooltip player_id="158495" first="Tiara" last="Bolden"] showed that she is amongst the State’s best shooters as she put on a shooting clinic at the 5A State Tournament. [player_tooltip player_id="158490" first="Shelby" last="Blodgett"] won another ring for her storied career at Clatskanie, as she showed that it’s not about the size of the school, but what you do there. [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] came in at McKay, and put the State on watch as she led her bracket in scoring at the Portland Holiday Classic. Corvallis’ [player_tooltip player_id="158512" first="Anna" last="Dazey"] is a guard that should not be overlooked, helping Corvallis to a highly successful season and leading a spirited run against a La Salle team that was amongst the favorites for the 5A State Tournament. [player_tooltip player_id="158502" first="Audrey" last="Miller"] at Santiam Christian was an athletic, tall guard that proved that athletes at the smaller classifications can make an impact and that they should be considered in the conversation as well. [player_tooltip player_id="158495" first="Tiara" last="Bolden"] 2021 5’9" SG (Chuchrill HS) - Effective, bold player that shoots at an extremely high clip. Averaged 17 points for Churchill in the first two games of the 5A State Tournament. Stringy athlete that passes the eye test as she is tall and lanky, providing for great potential. Can score not only efficiently, but can do it in three dribbles or less. Shows an interest in playing defense as well. [player_tooltip player_id="158490" first="Shelby" last="Blodgett"] 2021 5’8" SF (Clatskanie HS) - Helped Clatskanie win a 3A Championship over rival Sutherlin as she won MVP of the Tournament. Blodgett has a solid frame for a guard, can dominate smaller opponents down low, but has the guard skills as well. Has a high motor in the paint, as she rebounds at an excellent pace. Great defender on the wing as well as in the paint. [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] 2021 5’8" SG (McKay HS) - Do it all, team oriented player that does it all for McKay. Transferred from Anchorage, Alaska where she made an immediate impact at the Portland Holiday Classic, averaging 23 points and 4 steals. Plays every possession with intensity, whether on the offense or defense. Good athlete with agility and sleekness, likes to squeeze between defenders on the way to basket. Shot mechanics are very consistent every release. [player_tooltip player_id="158502" first="Audrey" last="Miller"] 2021 5’10" SG (Santiam Christian HS) (Pictured) - Tall, athletic guard for Santiam Christian that combines length with guard skills. Shows willingness to play defense, getting in the passing lanes as well as rebounding at a good rate. Has nice release as far as shot mechanics go and likes to take it inside and try to finish around defenders. Team first player that will try to impact the game beyond statistics. [player_tooltip player_id="158512" first="Anna" last="Dazey"] 2021 5’7" PG (Corvallis HS) - Throwback point guard that makes an impact without even dribbling the basketball. Dazey likes to survey the court and make a move according to what is going on. Has a nice onset of moves and very crafty inside the paint. Vocal leader for Corvallis High School, plays very good on ball defense.
