Sarah Thompson surveying the floor.Sarah Thompson – Gate City – Class of 2021
Sarah is a point guard who did not only earn All-State First Team but she was also Class 2 Player of the Year, As an athletic and tough competitor who leads her team on both sides of the ball every night, she is averaging 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.4 steals per game. Sarah scored 19 points, including 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 block to win the Class 2 state title. She is also a standout volleyball and softball player.

Emilee is a tough and aggressive 5’10 guard/forward who attacks the basket relentlessly, constantly getting to the free-throw line, in which she was on pace to shoot over 300 free throws this season. Emilee is the area’s leading scorer while averaging a double-double with 28.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She has already surpassed 1000 career points as a sophomore. Emilee scored 33 points in a Region 2B championship game win to head to the state tournament, earning Region 2B Player of the Year.

Alexis is a 5’5 athletic guard who knows the game very well, she has tremendous ball control with change of direction. She is a shooter who draws the defense to close out hard, in which she is able to pump fake and get to the hole. Alexis scored 26 points, including 5 three-pointers in a Region 2C semi-final win, earning 2C All-Region First Team and Region 2C Player of the Year.
Jaedyn Cook – Thomas Jefferson – Class of 2023
Jaedyn is a 6’2 forward who is a dominant post player and can also pass the ball. The offense is usually run through her, in which she creates opportunities for other players. She had 33 points in a game this season. Jaedyn is averaging around 17 points in the regional tournament, earning Region 2A Player of the Year.
Jayda Smith – Union – Class of 2020
Jayda is a forward/center who plays big on the inside, averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds during the season. She had 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals in the state quarterfinals. Jayda also put up 19 points, including 12 rebounds in the state semifinals. She has earned Mountain 7 All-District First Team and 2D All-Region First Team honors.
Christyan Reid Christyan Reid 6'3" | PF Strasburg | 2020 State VA – Strasburg – Class of 2020
Christyan is a 6’3 forward/center who uses her size to get easy buckets down low and to protect the rim. She is a consistent scorer, leading her area in field goal percentage at 56.8. Christyan is averaging 17.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, being named The Northern Virginia Daily’s 2019-20 Girls Basketball Player of the Year. She has also earned Bull Run All-District First Team and 2B All-Region First Team honors.

Brooklyn is an all-around player who is averaging 14 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3 steals per game on the season. She has earned Mountain 7 All-District First Team and 2D All-Region First Team honors.
Brynlee Burill – Luray – Class of 2021
Brynlee is a 5’8 guard who has become a true point guard with great scoring ability. She scored 20 points in Region 2B championship game win to go to the state tournament and 12 points in the state championship loss to end her season. Brynlee has earned Bull Run All-District First Team and 2B All-Region First Team honors.
