Tulsa - and the surrounding area - are full of great young players who most definitely will be playing at the next level. There are players who will be legitimate stars at the D-I level. There are players who will be balling at the D-II level. There are a few players who may need some time in JuCo to show what they’ve got to the four-year schools. Either way, these are the best players in the city of Tulsa - and just outside of it. Stay tuned in the coming days for the class of 2022 and 2023! [table id=106 /] [player_tooltip player_id="151306" first="Temira" last="Poindexter"] | Sapulpa | 6-2 F | @TDexonPoint Poindexter is a star for Sapulpa. She has outstanding size and runs the floor very well. She scores in transition and can shoot it from the outside as needed. A clear D-I player, she already holds offers from Northwestern State, Grambling and Abilene Christian. This past season, she averaged 17.4 per game to go along with 4.2 rebounds. She also shot almost 40% from three and made 65% of her free throws. With another year under her belt, Poindexter is going to be a great one to watch this coming season. http://hudl.com/profile/10617485/Temira-Poindexter [player_tooltip player_id="151311" first="Lexy" last="Borgstadt"] | Verdigris | 5-9 G | @borgstadt_lexy Borgstadt has a very high basketball IQ and sees the floor very well. She diagnoses the play, as a defender, better than almost anyone in her class. She involves her teammates at every opportunity. Borgstadt is not afraid to go inside and actually prefers to get her points at the rim. In the 2019-20 season, she averaged 13.2 points per game while shooting 42.1% from the floor. A testament to her tenacity inside is the fact that she averaged 6.5 rebounds per game. With only 13 made threes on the season, one can see that Borgstadt plays more like a forward and prefers to be inside. https://www.hudl.com/profile/10331717/Alexis-Borgstadt [player_tooltip player_id="139701" first="Kaylen" last="Nelson"] | Union | 5-11 G | @nelson_kaylen21 Nelson is yet another guard with good size who prefers to play inside. She is a threat from deep, though, if a defender sleeps on her outside the arc. She works hard throughout the game on both ends of the court. She has a very quick first step which she uses to blow by her defender to finish at the basket. She averaged 12.8 points per game during her junior season. She also added almost six rebounds per game. From behind the arc, Nelson shot 34.5% and an outstanding 80% from the free-throw line. Expect the offers to come flooding in for Kaylen in the next year. https://www.hudl.com/profile/10348662/Kaylen-Nelson [player_tooltip player_id="151316" first="Jada" last="Hytche"] | Broken Arrow | 5-7 G | @jada_hytche Hytche is extremely athletic and runs the floor very well. She works hard from the start of the game to the finish. She has a quick stroke from deep that led to her shooting very well from behind the arc for the season. She is a team leader for her squad and is definitely one to watch in the coming year. She has already been contacted by several schools, with more to come without a doubt. Hytche is an outstanding player and could no doubt move up in the City Rankings before the end of the 2021 season. https://www.hudl.com/profile/5314002/Jada-Hytche [player_tooltip player_id="151320" first="Alexis" last="Lewis"] | Sapulpa | 6-0 F | @alexis11088020 Sapulpa is loaded with talented bigs. Lewis is an inside scorer, pure and simple. She is an outstanding rebounder. Lewis finished the season with 4.6 boards per game while scoring 8.7 points per game. She is a big target in the middle and gets position well. She has great touch from 10 feet and in and is the epitome of a post player. She does all of the little things and looks to be a great team player. Lewis has the body type and mentality to have a big senior season that will see her skyrocket up the PGH rankings. https://www.hudl.com/profile/10894740/Alexis-Lewis
