We will go over the Top Point Guards in the 2021 Class that we believe are going to have a great high school season is upon us for the 2020-01 year. The kids we identify have already proven themselves on the court during their junior campaign and was going to add to it before the COVID19 Pandemic occurred.
#6: 2021, 5’6, PG, Corona Centennial HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49228" first="Jayda" last="Curry"] - Jayda continues to get better on the floor, she is always working to improve her skill set. She is multi-skilled in the game of basketball and is showing her range on the three point shot and is working on her midrange consistency. She can get to the rim and finish thru contact and is one of the most competitive girls in the game. Coaches are taking notice and they will continue to do so until she decides to commit.
#9: 2021, 5’11, PG, West Torrance HS, [player_tooltip player_id="102658" first="Anaya" last="James"] - Anaya is the new flavor of the year, she had a great high school season and was already regarded as a top guard on the west coast. She is a skilled guard with quickness, handles, athleticism and is one of the most defensive minded point guards in the game today. Her three pointer has improved with leaps and bounds this season and I love her floater in the paint. She just committed to University of Pacific, she is set.
#16: 2021, 5’11, PG, Miramonte HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49242" first="Mia" last="Mastrov"] - Mia is a smooth, lanky and deceptive looking athlete on the floor, but is one of the most intriguing player out there. She can knock down the three pointer if you back up or take you to the rim with a nice rip-thru and finish thru contact. She is defensive minded and will steal your cookies and finish on the other end of the rim. She can take over a game if she has the chance, fun to watch.
#20: 2021, 5’7, PG, Bonita Vista HS, [player_tooltip player_id="102660" first="Sylena" last="Peterson"] - Sylena is another smooth guard with a nice skill set in her bag, she is tough, she is athletic. Her skill set is impressive; her handles are nice, her floater game is nice and she is dangerous from behind the three point line. Sylena is one of the best guard in San Diego and she shows it each and every night for her team.
#25: 2021, 5’8, PG, JW North HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49248" first="Khylee" last="Smith"] - Khylee is athletic in her own right, she is a capable point guard for her team, but she is also a volleyball player as well. She handles the ball well, she defends and she is a Smith, so she is built tough and will not give up on the floor. She was fun to watch and she showed us some mental toughness as well.
