Austin definitely meets the basketball player eye test at almost 6′ tall, long with an impressive wingspan. She gave the Tigers a good presence at the free throw line against Marist trapping, zone defense sealing the defender behind her and giving Cooper and Bradley a passing target by extending her arms making herself big. On a couple plays Austin did a nice job pivoting, squaring up to the basket, and attacking her defender. She also used her physical tools around the basket as well rebounding the ball on offense and defense. Against a more traditional zone defense or man to man, Austin could be a matchup problem as a stretch four.
