Weekly Honor Roll: Crittendon Rewrites the Record Books

Excitement is brewing as we head into the last few weeks of the regular season. Teams are battling for better rankings, and players are rising to the occasion in heated rivalries. This week brought some exciting individual accomplishments. Here's a spotlight on the standout performances from February 9th to 15th, 2026.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shout-outs</h2>   In the final 27 seconds, Hattie Price and Mireia Fernandez of Otis performed under pressure leading a thrilling comeback. Price's steal and layup reduced the deficit to one point. Seconds later, Fernandez followed with a decisive drive to secure the win over Lone Star.   With 55 seconds on the clock, Taylor Speir powered to the rim for a game-winning and-1 drive. That layup put the finishing touch on Columbine's hard-fought win over Ralston Valley.   In double overtime, Ponderosa's [player_tooltip player_id='901487' first='Shae' last='Heiden'] rose to the moment. She confidently splashed a corner three that put her team ahead by two with under a minute to play.   Union Colony Prep erased a seven-point deficit in the final ninety seconds against Estes Park. Storming back with a 10-0 run, capped by Nadene Chacon's clutch three-pointer to seal the comeback win.   Denver North's Grace Juilanelle delivered the game-winner in a thrilling comeback over Thomas Jefferson. She grabbed a rebound and spun for a turnaround jumper from the block.   Dolores' Taylor Erautt nailed a clutch turnaround jumper with 35 seconds left. Her shot propelled the team to a 32-30 win over Dove Creek.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Player Of The Week</h2>    Crittendon has set the gold standard for scoring in recent years. On Senior Night, with the home crowd roaring, the 6'3 forward shattered Colorado's all-time scoring record. She eclipsed Tracy Hill's 2,934 points with a steal and a breakaway layup in the third quarter. Averaging over 28 points per game, Crittendon has dazzled all season (and quite frankly, her entire career). This week, she powered Riverdale to a 3-0 sweep over Brighton, Boulder, and Monarch, winning by an average of 51 points. Against Brighton, she exploded for 37 points and 6 steals, continuing her reign of dominance. A threat from anywhere on the court, Crittendon's career has been a record-breaking journey since her freshman debut.      <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Outstanding Performances</h2>    Martin was sensational in Standley Lake's showdown victory over D'Evelyn. Her speed and athleticism overwhelmed D'Evelyn as she piled up 6 steals and 12 rebounds. Martin dominated in transition, racing coast-to-coast for easy buckets. Early in the third quarter, she grabbed a defensive rebound, sprinted the length of the court for a layup. Moments later, she followed with a steal and another score. Martin rattled off eight straight points to put the game out of reach. In all, she dropped 27 points on 10-12 shooting, including knocking down a three-pointer.     Gunter caught fire against Ralston Valley, pouring in 26 points with impressive efficiency. She scored from every spot on the floor, including knocking down four three-pointers. The versatile forward hauled in 9 rebounds, anchored the defense with two blocks and a steal. She stepped up big in this game, and played a pivotal role in extending Valor's winning streak.     Hearty became the latest athlete to top the 1,000 career points milestone on Saturday against Northfield. Her impressive play set the tone for East's victory over Northfield. Hearty posted a double-double with 21 points on 80% shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds. The 6'3 forward opened the game with a smooth jumper, driving left and elevating over her defender. Time and again, she found her spot in the paint, rising above smaller opponents for her shot. Her steady leadership under Northfield's pressure kept her teammates composed.     Bethel's stat-stuffing 23-point performance against Denver South put Northfield's depth on full display. She kicked off the night with a corner three and later drained another from the left wing. She showcased her lightning speed and quickness, picking off passes and blowing by opponents for easy buckets. Bethel's quick feet made her a defensive nightmare, hounding South's ball-handlers from start to finish. A fantastic game for the rising junior standout.     Gilpatrick once again had another flawless night against Legacy. She effortlessly poured in 25 points on 12-14 shooting. Her size proved unstoppable for smaller defenders, and she was a force around the rim. On defense, Gilpatrick swatted away 10 shots and altered countless others, dominating both ends of the floor.     Halton powered Overland to a thrilling win over Eaglecrest scoring 29 points. She was relentlessly attacking the basket and earning trip after trip to the free-throw line. She capped her night with a three-pointer and dominated the glass with 11 rebounds. Halton's leadership and stellar play have propelled Overland to an impressive 14-7 record this season.
