Class of 2022: Top 3 Point Shooters

The class of 2022 in South Carolina has some really special players in it. The following players are the ones who can flat out shoot the ball from 3 point land. Here are the ones you need to make sure you know: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171766" first="Alexis" last="Sexton"]: </strong>The 5’9 point guard from Lexington high school was an All-State selection just after her sophomore season. The lefty guard is smooth with the ball in her hands. She has a quick and high release, and hit a 3 in every game played this season but 2 (24 games played). She consistently knocks down the long ball, and has college range already. She can score it in bunches reaching 30+ points twice on the season, and 20+ 8 different times. Averaging nearly 3 assists per game, she gets into the paint and makes plays for her teammates. She has a high IQ so when the defense collapses she knows the right plays to make. You definitely need to check her out for her final 2 seasons. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124103" first="Jenna" last="Sudduth"]: </strong>The 5’5 point guard from Greer high school was an All-region selection after her sophomore season. The lefty guard shot well over 40% from deep this last season. She is consistent, deep range, has a high release and follow through that she holds. On top of being a good shooter, she averaged nearly 5 assists per game, and nearly 7 rebounds. She had 2 double-doubles last season (points and rebounds), and 9 different games had 6+ assists. She just does whatever it takes to get he team going. She plays AAU for the Upward Stars organization. <strong>Mary Wilson Reyner: </strong>The 5’9 shooting guard from Christ Church Episcopal school is a knock down shooter with college range already. She has great size, high release, she can catch fire and just roll with it. In 7 different games this last season she knocked down 4+ 3’s. On the season she shot nearly 40% from 3 point land. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124091" first="McCall" last="King"]: </strong>The 5’11 small forward from Christ Church Episcopal school was an All-State selection after her sophomore season. The forward is one of the top players in this 2022 class. She has great size, high motor, high IQ, she is going to continue to become better over her next 2 seasons. She made a 3 in every game played this last season but 1, and shot it at over 30%. She is comfortable driving it to the rim, and posting up smaller defenders. If she gets a steal or defensive rebound she will push the break on her own. She grabbed right around 6 rebounds per game. She plays AAU for the SC 76ers organization. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171756" first="Daja" last="Taylor"]:</strong> The 5’7 point guard from Oakbrook Prep was an All-Region selection after her sophomore season. <span style="font-size: 1rem">She shoots the 3 ball at over 30%, and already has college range. </span><span style="font-size: 1rem">She has a high IQ, she can see up the floor and has no problem passing ahead, she averaged right around 5 assists per game this last season. She gets to the charity stripe quite often, and makes it count converting nearly 80% of her attempts. She plays AAU for the Carolina Crush organization.</span> &nbsp;
