We continue with our regardless of class series by taking a look at the top shooting guards. Here are the top 10 at the position in New Jersey.
<strong>1. [player_tooltip player_id="155550" first="Rachel" last="Capua"] (2021) | Jackson Memorial- </strong>Capua is one of the top players in New Jersey regardless of class and position. She averaged over 18 points per game as a junior and knocked down 62 three’s. She is a threat at all three levels.
<strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id="134627" first="Justine" last="Pissott"] (2022) | Red Bank Catholic- </strong>Pissott is a combination of size, skill, and athleticism. She is a future Division I guard and that was clear during her sophomore year. She finished the season as one of the top shooters with 67 three’s and a lethal midrange game.
<strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id="134608" first="Dom" last="Darius"] (2021) | Blair- </strong>The UCLA commit is half of one of the top backcourts in the state along with [player_tooltip player_id="134606" first="Olivia" last="Miles"]. Darius is a physical player that can also use finesse to put the ball in the basket.
<strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id="134615" first="Colleen" last="McQuillen"] (2021) | Cresskill- </strong>McQuillen finished as one of the top scorers in the state with 737 points. She knocked down 65 three’s and 120 free throws. She is an offensive weapon and then some. McQuillen will look to do big things during her final season.
<strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id="134639" first="Madison" last="Schiller"] (2022) | Ramapo- </strong>A true do it all guard, Schiller was a threat on both ends. She thrived at getting to the basket for some easy points. She scored 530 points in year two and did it primarily in the lane.
<strong>6. [player_tooltip player_id="134648" first="Tyonna" last="Bailey"] (2023) | Morris Catholic- </strong>Bailey averaged a double-double in year one. She finished with 19 overall. Bailey burst onto the scene with 27 points and 13 rebounds in her first career game. She will quickly become a top prospect in the state.
<strong>7. [player_tooltip player_id="134630" first="Kiley" last="Capstraw"] (2022) | West Orange- </strong>Capstraw had a three game stretch where she scored 36, 33, and 30 points in consecutive games. She is a dominant offensive player that can take over a game in an instant.
<strong>8. [player_tooltip player_id="134751" first="Rylie" last="Theuerkauf"] (2023) | Tenafly- </strong>There is no conversation about top scorers in the freshman class without Theuerkauf. She scored 521 points and did it from all over the floor.
<strong>9. [player_tooltip player_id="134619" first="Jess" last="Riepe"] (2021) | Marlboro- </strong>Riepe is the best shooter on this list. She was near the top of the state with 97 three’s for Marlboro. As a senior, defenders will have to get a hand up on Riepe but she knows how to get the better of a defensive set.
<strong>10. [player_tooltip player_id="134637" first="Triniti" last="Haskins"] (2022) | East Orange- </strong>Haskins wasted no time taking over as she scored 31 points in the second game of the season. Haskins can score, rebound, pass, and defend at a high rate.
