About Chai
Expert Analysis

Chai’s height and length stood out as soon as she stepped on the floor for warmups, immediately catching my eye as one of the more intriguing physical prospects in the 2030 class in LA. She used that length effectively on the defensive end by blocking shots and altering attempts in and around the paint. Chai also showed activity on the glass, converting an offensive rebound into a strong putback finish. With her size, basketball frame, and developing skill set, she is an intriguing prospect with plenty of long-term upside.

is an intriguing young prospect in Louisiana with early size and versatility that immediately stand out for the Class of 2030. At 6’0”, Cagle already brings uncommon length and positional upside to the guard spot, giving her the ability to impact the game in multiple ways as she continues to develop. Prep Girls Hoops currently lists Cagle as a 6’0” combo guard in the 2030 class.
What makes Cagle a prospect worth monitoring is the natural advantage she has with her frame at a young age. Guards with size who can handle the ball, defend multiple positions, and create matchup problems are always valuable, and her ceiling continues to rise as her skill set develops. She has the tools to become a difficult matchup in transition, around the perimeter, and defensively because of her length and versatility.
As she continues progressing, the next step will be tightening her overall guard skill package—ball handling under pressure, shot consistency, decision-making, and defensive discipline. With continued reps and development, she has the potential to grow into a two-way guard capable of making an impact on both ends of the floor
