Allen is a versatile guard who creates for herself and others, delivering well-timed passes to open shooters and teammates running the floor while also looking for her own opportunities to score. She uses a strong crossover and step-back to create separation, pulling up off the dribble or using her handle to attack the basket, and running the floor and cutting into position for easy finishes. Defensively, she applies pressure and plays with good effort, forcing turnovers and getting on the floor to secure the ball.

Allen is a disruptive defender who creates havoc with her activity and ability to get her hands on the ball. She anticipates well, jumps passing lanes, and adds value on the glass despite her size. Offensively, she can handle the ball, knock down threes, and attack while reading the defense effectively.
