Midwest Madness: More Under-The-Radar Talent to Se

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first girls' basketball event of the spring/summer, or at least I think it is, is this coming weekend in New Berlin. A plethora of talent from around the state is descending into Waukesha County and putting on a display for everyone in attendance. Tonight, we will look at a handful of players, particularly in the 17U age bracket, for regional schools to see this coming weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1162239' first='Tori' last='Justmann']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Marshall guard is a skilled ball handler who can create space with the ball in her hands. Justmann is also a player who will compete on both ends of the floor. She can jump passing lanes and has the tools to make an impact on the game on any possession she is a part of. However, her ability to play either guard spot and knock down perimeter jumpers will be appealing to coaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849280' first='Alana' last='Eubanks']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Vel Phillips Memorial wing is an intriguing prospect with the length that can help her be a game-changer on the defensive end of the floor. Eubanks has improved each time I've seen her play, and I didn't get a chance to see her play over the high school season. However, she can be a player who can make plays with her length at any time, and her touch was much better the last time I saw her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875008' first='Lilah' last='Longerie']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 5'10 wing/forward from Southeast Wisconsin has some interesting traits to her game. She has some size and isn't afraid to be physical from time to time. Longerie also has defensive instincts, allowing her to make plays as a perimeter or interior defender. She also adds some versatility on the offensive end with her ability to space the floor and knock down shots. If health holds, she will likely play a smaller role at the high-school level next season, with an elite talent returning from injury. So I may learn more about her this AAU season than next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1223311' first='Quinn' last='Temperly']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Platteville guard had an excellent game when I made the two-hour drive to see an impressive conference matchup against Lancaster. Temperly is a productive perimeter shooter who can knock down multiple shots from beyond the three-point line whenever defenses allow her space. Her ability to shoot the ball will jump out to anyone who sees her, and she's comfortable playing an off-ball role and making plays when the ball is swung her way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
