Carten has spent time playing on the junior varsity team at Ola before ascending to varsity status. She certainly displayed plenty of varsity-level talent on Saturday at Marietta HS. As is more of a pure point guard, one can expect Carten to attack the rim whenever she has the ball. On many an occasion when she does, she can draw contact and take her chances at the free throw line. After a rough start to this weekend’s Peach Games against Lola Bunnie’s Basketball Club, Carten’s play helped right the ship to close Team Passion 15U’s Saturday with a victory over God’s Timing Elite 15U.
