2027 Rising Prospects Shine at Day 2 of The Classic

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 The Classic Tournament hosted in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center. This event was one of the NCAA Live Period events, giving college coaches from all levels the chance to evaluate players in a live setting while watching some of the top talent from across the country compete at a high level.   The atmosphere throughout the weekend was outstanding, as teams from multiple states came together to compete against elite competition while players looked to showcase their skills in front of college programs. Events like this continue to be extremely important for exposure, development, and helping athletes gain recognition on a bigger stage.   There was no shortage of talent throughout the tournament, especially from the state of Indiana. Indiana basketball continues to produce high-level players year after year, and this weekend was another example of the depth and talent within the state. From guards making plays with their speed and shot-making ability to forwards controlling the paint with toughness and versatility, Indiana prospects made their presence felt throughout the event.   Over the next few articles, I will be highlighting several players from Indiana who stood out to me during the tournament and discussing the impact they made throughout the weekend.    [player_tooltip player_id='834926' first='Averi' last='Amstutz'] continues to show why she is one of the steady guards to watch coming out of [program_tooltip program_id='714264' first='OPS' last='']. She plays the point guard position with confidence and does a good job running the offense while keeping teammates involved throughout the game. What stands out most is her composure with the basketball and her ability to make smart decisions under pressure.   Amstutz understands tempo well, can create opportunities off the dribble, and has the ability to contribute as both a passer and scorer. She also competes defensively and brings good energy on both ends of the floor. As she continues to develop physically and offensively, she has the potential to become a very complete lead guard.     [player_tooltip player_id='890800' first='Keara' last='Lipscomb-Allen'] is the type of point guard every team enjoys having on the floor because of her leadership and overall control of the game. Playing for Legacy Force Supreme, she consistently shows the ability to handle pressure, facilitate offense, and create opportunities for teammates.   She plays with toughness and confidence while also being able to attack defenses when lanes open up. Lipscomb-Allen has a strong feel for the game and understands how to balance scoring with playmaking. Her competitive mindset and ability to impact winning make her a player college coaches should continue following closely.     Macy Cloe put everyone on notice after an impressive performance where she knocked down seven three-pointers and finished with 25 points in a game. That type of scoring ability immediately grabs attention, especially for a young player with confidence from the perimeter.   Cloe spaces the floor extremely well and has the ability to heat up quickly offensively. What makes her dangerous is her shooting range and willingness to take big shots without hesitation. She moves well without the basketball and understands how to find open spots within the offense. Players who can consistently stretch defenses are always valuable, and Cloe is proving she has that ability at a high level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1583133' first='Alexis' last='Harris'] continues to establish herself as a reliable scorer who knows how to put points on the board. Coming off a 21-point performance, Harris showed her ability to score in multiple ways and make an offensive impact throughout the game.   She attacks confidently, finishes well around the basket, and can knock down perimeter shots when defenses give her space. Harris plays aggressively and does not shy away from taking responsibility offensively. Her scoring instincts and confidence make her a player worth tracking moving forward as she continues to elevate her overall game.     Alhai Harris is another young point guard who continues to impress with her ability to manage the game and keep her team organized offensively. She has a smooth feel running the offense and does a nice job reading defenses and making the right plays.   Harris can handle the basketball well, push the pace in transition, and create scoring opportunities for herself and others. She also competes defensively and shows good effort on both ends of the floor. As her confidence continues to grow offensively, she has the tools to become a very impactful guard.     [player_tooltip player_id='751040' first='Arianna' last='Harrington'] is a shooting guard who brings strong offensive potential every time she steps on the court. She plays with confidence, moves well offensively, and understands how to create scoring opportunities within the flow of the game.   Harrington can knock down shots from the perimeter and has the ability to attack closeouts effectively. She also competes hard defensively and brings energy that impacts the game beyond scoring. Her ability to play within the offense while still being aggressive offensively makes her a very intriguing prospect moving forward.
