Georgia State Tournament: Elite Players from16u Bracket

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops hosted a weekend tournament in Marietta, Georgia on May 23-24. There was plenty of talent to spread around on all four courts at Next Play 360. One of the things that stood out the most was her ability to pass to the post. She had a soft touch on her passes that were lobs up and over the defender's head. Some of the angles had to be just perfect for the pass to get through and she showed she could deliver it on several occasions. Morgan also displayed a nice stroke from beyond the arc. A tough competitor on the glass and defensive side of the ball. McClendon showed back to the basket moves that proved she has been in the gym and working on her craft. She did a step though move that worked perfectly on her defender by getting up in the air and out of position where she went by her and scored easily. Her spin move from the short corner did not disappoint either. All weekend she demonstrated her skillset by being able to turn over both shoulders and use either hand. Extremely agile and athletically gifted by her size and talent. As a 2029, there was not much that did not already look like she was playing at an elite level. There were times at 6'3 and playing the center position, she would grab the rebound and beat everyone down the court dribbling the ball in for an easy lay in. Florence can get to the rim at will demonstrating she has strength to finish with contact. She also shot the three point ball with confidence at different times though out the game. She ran the floor well in transition on both ends showing she can catch and score off the pass. She also is quick and agile enough to get back and break up plays on defensive transition by deflections and blocking shots. Charlize was very good from the hi post area with her shot touch and one on one moves to the rim. She does a great job of setting up the offense and getting her team into plays when needed. She has nice court vision and a great feel for the game.
