Forwards Who Made a Splash at the UNF Team Camp

The forwards were impressive at the UNF Team Camp, and it would take more than one article to properly highlight all of the standout performers. Some forwards showcased their ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots from the perimeter, while others used their athleticism and strength to attack the basket with purpose. Defense was a strong point for many of the camp's top forwards. Several players stood out with their ability to protect the paint, rebound in traffic, and switch onto perimeter and defend. It was a great camp for [player_tooltip player_id='926495' first='Lea'nah' last='Parrish'], who left UNF with an offer to play college basketball for the Ospreys. On the court, Parrish proved to be one of the most versatile players at the camp. The forward showed the ability to get to the rim, score in the midrange, and knock down shots from beyond the arc. Defensively, Parrish competed at a high level, battling against some of the camp's top forwards and holding her own throughout the event. Her combination of skill, versatility, and toughness on both ends of the floor made her one of the standout performers at the UNF Team Camp.     [player_tooltip player_id='945395' first='Nyla' last='Brinson'] was another forward who garnered praise for her performance at the team camp. The athletic forward scored consistently in the paint, converting on passes on blocks and cleaning up offensive rebounds for easy baskets. Defensively, Brinson effectively guarded positions 3 through 5 and made an impact with her versatility on that end of the floor. She also ran the floor well in transition, and her athleticism stood out throughout the event.     [player_tooltip player_id='1235154' first='Lillian' last='Mathis'] looked impressive just getting off the bus. Her length and athleticism immediately stood out, and she backed it with her performance on the court. Mathis ran the floor extremely well and was effective scoring in transition as well as around the basket in half-court offense. Mathis also made her presence felt on the glass, securing several offensive rebounds and converting the putbacks. Defensively, she battled against athletic forwards and centers throughout the camp, using her size, effort, and mobility to compete at a high level. Her combination of length, athleticism, and activity around the basket made her one of the more intriguing forwards at the camp.     [player_tooltip player_id='400813' first='Asiana' last='McCreary'] added some tools to her bag and looked good in the process. McCreary is another forward who impresses you simply with her presence. Her ability to run the floor in transition is impressive, and she still has plenty of upside, which makes her such an intriguing prospect. McCreary rebounded well, scored effectively in the paint, and knocked down short midrange shots. The most impressive part of watching her was her ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. She finished some plays herself, while on other possessions she created opportunities for teammates with the pass. Showing the ability to make plays as a passer added another dimension to McCreary's game and highlighted her upside.     [player_tooltip player_id='1249017' first='Angelina' last='Laudicina'] showed improvement after a strong freshman season. While she continues to shoot the three well, her growth was most evident on the boards, where she ran the floor, tracked rebounds, and created second-chance points. Laudicina also scored in the paint, adding an inside game to her overall game. Her ability to impact the game both inside and outside made her one of the standout performers on the floor. In addition to the tangibles, her leadership on the floor was very impressive, as she consistently communicated with teammates, set a positive example, and helped guide the team throughout the game.
