Elyse was another 2028 guard who caught my attention at the Alma Elite Camp. During 5-on-5 play, she showed a strong ability to attack from the baseline, beating her defender and finishing with a smooth inside-hand finish at the rim. She also did a nice job getting into the lane and making smart decisions once she had the ball in her hands. Defensively, Elyse was active and disciplined, using her hands to disrupt plays while consistently staying in good defensive position. Her understanding of the game also stood out during the skill work, as she quickly picked up the defensive concepts Coach Sami had the college players demonstrate and executed them correctly when it was her turn. Elyse’s combination of offensive decision-making, defensive awareness, and coachability made her one of the 2028 guards who stood out at camp.
