2028 Rankings Update: 5 Crafty Scorers to Watch Moving Forward

The ladies below are more than just scorers... but man do they know how to put the ball in the basket! They can create their own shot. They can facilitate for others. They can light-it-up from long-range. They have a knack for getting into the paint. The handle, craftiness, and shot-making ability separate these individuals from the rest of the pack.

Neda caught my eye at the West Coast Holiday Festival last year. Confident, silky-smooth guard who plays with poise and composure. Averaged 19ppg and 3.5spg as a sophomore for Newbury Park, including three 30pt outings. Neda can make tough shots with a hand in her face. Her feel for the game stands out. 3-level scorer with the handle and craftiness to get to her spots. Excellent mid-range game. Neda is a master at initiating contact and getting to the line.

Lightning-quick lefty who can penetrate, shoot, and pass at a high level. Her offer sheet includes the likes of San Diego State, UCSB, and Dartmouth. Jenelle is an elite ball handler with several moves in her arsenal: stepbacks, step-throughs, crossovers, hezis, in-and-outs, etc. Displays good burst with the ball in her hands. Understands how to change speeds. Keeps the defender on her hip. The floater is money. Jenelle gives you unreal firepower on the offensive end.

Charlotte is quick, elusive, and unpredictable with the ball in her hands. Notable impressive performances this summer include: Section 7, HHH Cali Cup, and the 1st Annual 3x3 Battle for OC. When Charlotte catches fire, good luck! She can break the game open with a barrage of three-pointers. Defenders struggle to get a good contest because of her quick release. Charlotte attacks gaps off-the-dribble. She is able to slither her way into the mid-range area and make a play as a scorer or passer. Expect her to make a jump as a junior for Campbell Hall this year.

Aksharaa was 1st-team All-league as a sophomore! Skilled, cerebral guard who knows how to put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways. She had an impressive showing earlier this summer vs. nationally ranked [program_tooltip program_id='715880' first='Why' last='Not Premier'] at HHH Heat Check. Aksharaa has a soft touch around the basket. She has the strength to finish through contact. The floater is deadly. The mid-range game is effective. You trust her with the ball in her hands because of her decision-making and shot-making ability.

Aubrey has a quick 1st step off-the-dribble. Good speed in the open floor. Deep range and clean mechanics on her jumper. 1st-team All-league as a sophomore while leading her team in points, assists, 3PT%, and FT%. Aubrey gets going north-to-south fairly quickly. This puts pressure on the opposing defense because she can shoot, get into the paint, or find the open teammate. She has the potential to be a breakout star this year.
