No Tricks, Just Talent — October’s Intriguing Prospects

While this article follows a particular fall theme, it wasn't intended to be a gimmick. Its purpose is to spotlight a handful of intriguing prospects who've stood out through the past month.

Here's an assist from the home team 🏀 - Use code MBG30 for 30% off your first purchase of any subscription.

[player_tooltip player_id='1830654' first='Melody' last='Vaughn'] (2029) | PG/CG |

Melody's stock has been soaring recently. That's partly because of the major recruiting buzz surrounding her. Vaughn has picked up some big time offers this month from schools like Michigan State University and Wisconsin. Vaughn's school season schedule was just posted the other day too. There'll certainly be some games circled.

[player_tooltip player_id='1320162' first='Lexi' last='Linsey'] (2029) | Q

Linsey was an easy add here. Over the weekend, she looked like one of the better young facilitators that stepped on the floor. Lexi was able to find her shot comfortably plus distributed accurate passes to put her teammates in the right position. This is a '29 on the rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='1847619' first='Sophia' last='Wolf'] (2029) | SG/PG |

Wolf's film has been making its rounds across the timeline. It shows a young guard that makes advanced reads plus she shoots from deep range with great confidence. She was active on the boards, persistent starting the break and not afraid to take the open jumpers that came to her. Pells will be a name to keep in mind when considering underrecognized '28 talents.
