Belle Plaine featured a short bench last year, going just 10-deep. However, nine of those are set to return including starters Olivia Bohlen, Jenna Fry, Jacy Gates and Alyssa Tegeler. Bohlen scored 100 points to go along with 125 assists and 119 rebounds as a sophomore, adding in 70 steals. Tegeler contributed 82 points and Fry 60 with 89 rebounds. Off the bench, sophomore Bree Shaull knocked down a team-high 22 three-pointers.

Leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id="135133" first="Lindsey" last="Banowetz"] has graduated, but Bellevue returns nine players including five with returning experience. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id="165021" first="Teresa" last="Paulsen"] and Maddie Scmidt are back along with junior Mariah Hueneke. Paulsen posted just over seven points with five rebounds a night last year with Scmidt adding 5.6 points and Hueneke six with three boards. The Comets won 13 games a year ago before falling to Iowa City Regina. They finished third in the River Valley Conference.

Belmond-Klemme claimed nine wins a year ago including six within the Top of the Iowa Conference to finish sixth in the West division. However, they will need to replace leading scorer and rebounder Haley Bemino from that unit. The good part for the Broncos, though, is 13 players are back including regular starters Jennah Meyer, [player_tooltip player_id="165025" first="Addison" last="McMurray"] and Madison Barrus. McMurray posted almost 12 points with 4.6 assists, four rebounds and two steals a game as a junior. Sophomore Annika Nelson was key, recording nearly nine points a night with Meyer adding six and six rebounds.
