PGH Florida Top250 Expo: Top Performers
Jaela Davis Jaela Davis 5'7" | CG Brooks DeBartolo | 2022 State FL – (2022) 5’8 Brooks DeBartolo
Davis is my #1 overall standout from the Top250, and it wasn’t close. Her energy was high, she constantly pushed the ball in transition putting pressure on the defense. She showed the ability to finish with either hand and make good decisions with the ball. She knocked down the deep ball, spotting up, as well as off the bounce. Davis did a step-back pull up jumper that she missed, but by the space she created alone I instantly knew she was on another level. She is a very willing defender in the backcourt, and with her size, she can make it a nightmare for the opposing PG. She will shoot mid ranges or threes off the dribble, she’s crafty, athletic, and on Saturday she showed that there are no holes in her game. Davis played with a chip on her shoulder, from the first game of the day to the last, she was flat-out dominant.
Keegan Brace Keegan Brace 5'7" | CG Lake Howell | 2021 State FL – (2021) 5’7 Lake Howell
Brace is a true floor general. What I liked most is the way she played in the paint on defense, communicating and orchestrating her team, and then would initiate the fast break on offense. She has a great handle and threw passes that made me think she can play at the Division 1 level. Her IQ is above average, she is rising a senior who plays like one. Brace was the best leader I saw Saturday. The ability to take charge of a group of players she may have just met, really impressed me, her leadership is what landed her on my top standouts.
Jordana Codio Jordana Codio 6'1" | SF Montverde Academy | 2022 State FL – (2022) 6’1 American Heritage
Codio is a stud. Her length and athleticism are the obvious things you like, but her skills are as good as any guard I’ve seen. She will shoot off the dribble or spot up, and has the touch around the rim to finish in the paint. Defensively, she is so valuable, she can guard any position. She will block shots, take the ball coast to coast to finish, and she can distribute and make plays for others in transition. Codio was the most college-ready player I saw, with two years of high school in front of her, her ceiling is through the roof. She has verbally committed to join Coach Tsipis and the badgers, Madison has a great one on the way.
Kailani Lindsey Kailani Lindsey 6'1" | PF Wildwood | 2023 State FL (2023) – 6’0 Wildwood
Lindsey was a very interesting prospect to me because she handles it so well for a post player. I couldn’t get over how comfortable she was in the backcourt. One of the younger players on my top standouts, Lindsey scored the ball at will. She can shoot the pull up and also create for herself on her drives. She is extremely good around the rim and doesn’t only depend on her 6’0 frame to score, she does have some finesse to her game. I really enjoyed watching the rising sophomore. With Lindsey, Wildwood High is in good hands for years to come.
Taylor Feldman Taylor Feldman 5'7" | SG Crean Lutheran HS | 2022 State CA (2022) – 5’7 Crean Lutheran
Feldman’s motor is something that jumped off the page to me immediately. The way she attacked the paint was very appealing, she is a determined player and it showed. She has the type of game where make or miss, she’s coming at you over and over. She is crafty in the lane and has the ability to finish in traffic with either hand. She shot the mid-range, she passed it well and can play with her back to the basket on a smaller guard. Buckets are nothing new, Feldman once poured in 51 as a Freshman at Crean Lutheran. A scrappy defender as well, Feldman really impressed me with how hard she played in a camp setting.
Stefanie Ingram Stefanie Ingram 5'7" | CG Lake Highland | 2022 State FL – 5’7 Lake Highland
When I first watched a Stefanie Ingram Stefanie Ingram 5'7" | CG Lake Highland | 2022 State FL , her competitiveness was the first thing I noticed. A natural floor general, she willed her team to play the right way despite the score. She rebounded well defensively and played PG on offense which I always like to see. Her versatility was appealing, Ingram is also physically gifted at 5’7, she is strong for a wing player. She drove the ball well, hit the three-ball, and was her team’s best defender. A lot of times in a camp setting players aren’t always overly caught up in winning more than what kind day they’re having as an individual, Ingram doesn’t like to lose, and it showed. Her fiery attitude and competitiveness on both ends of the ball earned her a spot on my top performers.
Chloe Kitts Chloe Kitts 6'2" | SF Faith Christian Academy | 2022 FL – (2023) 6’0 DME Academy
There was no bigger gem I saw at the Top250 than Kitts, and it is scary to think she’s going into her Sophomore year. Her match up with Jordana Codio Jordana Codio 6'1" | SF Montverde Academy | 2022 State FL was like a heavyweight prizefight, two high-level division ones going head to head. She blocked shots, she defended the perimeter and didn’t back down from the challenge at all. What makes Kitts so unique is the way she handles it. Kitts is of the Delle Donne/Porzingis mold, she makes you wonder how someone that size can handle it and create space for herself the way she does. She showed the ability to guard 1-5 on defense, and then played Point Guard initiating her offense when she rebounded. I came to the Top250 having no idea who Chloe Kitts Chloe Kitts 6'2" | SF Faith Christian Academy | 2022 FL is, I left raving. DME will be her new home, they may have an absolute star.
Olivia Davis Olivia Davis 5'7" | CG Cardinal Mooney | 2023 State FL (2023) – 5’7 Cardinal Mooney
Davis is a very solid guard. She is a heady player that dictates the action on the floor. Offensively her handle allows her to get anywhere she wants, and she can finish around the rim through contact. She is an aggressive player, and what I liked most is that every time she missed a shot, she took the next one with the same confidence. The lefty protects the ball well on her drives and is sure with the basketball. I imagine college coaches will be very comfortable with Davis running their offense. The Cardinal Mooney product was fun to watch, Davis made me a believer Saturday.
Arianna Mosley (2023) – 5’9 Tampa Prep
Mosley is a stat-sheet stuffer. Lengthy, smart with the ball, and good in transition, at 5’9 she fits the Division-1 wing prototype. She showed good touch around the rim and was able to finish with either hand when she attacked. Mosley will do everything you ask of her, rebound, defend, and make the right play. As a rising sophomore, her potential is at the highest level of college basketball. Mosley is the type of player who spectators gravitate towards because of her activity on both sides of the ball, she looks to force turnovers and can really score. Just a sophomore, she seems to have it figured out.
Ajalon Gillard Ajalon Gillard 5'9" | CG West Orange | 2022 State FL (2022) – 5’9 West Orange
Gillard was the epitome of the word standout. At times I will notice other players watching their peers, and when she played, all eyes were on #18. The rising junior passed it very well, showing the ability to create for others when she wasn’t doing the scoring herself. She guarded the perimeter, she shoots it as good as anyone, and at 5’9 with a handle like hers, she’s a steal if she falls to a mid-major. She nailed catch-and-shoot threes and hit a pair of deep ones from the parking lot. The best range of any player I saw, Gillard was a spectacle offensively. A very exciting player to watch, she will make plays with either hand, and her IQ is beyond her years. Her against Jaela Davis Jaela Davis 5'7" | CG Brooks DeBartolo | 2022 State FL was an elite match-up, the West Orange high product is a star.
