With the release of the latest Prep Girls Hoops Colorado rankings update for the Class of 2021 at the end of the summer, a total of 18 new players joined the rankings. Some have emerged through excellent grassroots campaigns while others are transfer students. Many of these players are popping up at smaller schools that receive less exposure.
Here are six 2021's who recently entered the PGH Colorado list and where they rank heading into their season seasons, as well as a list of all the players who were added with the latest update.
[player_tooltip player_id="20228" first="Haley" last="Huard"], 6'1, SG, Valor Christian
When Huard and her younger sister, a pair of Division-I recruits, announced they were transferring from Eastlake in Sammamish, Wash., to join an already loaded Valor Christian roster, the landscape of Class 5A basketball in Colorado was instantly changed. The daughter of former NFL player Brock Huard and former University of Washington player Molly (Hills) Huard, she is already committed to the University of Montana.
As a junior at Eastlake, Huard averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals. She won a Class 4A state championship with her former team as a sophomore and arrived in Colorado ranked No. 6.
[player_tooltip player_id="203414" first="Libby" last="Campbell"], 5'8, SG, Grandview
Campbell has long been buried on a deep Grandview roster but her stock is rising as fast as any player in the state after an excellent summer. Campbell was the “most influential” guard on her Pro Skills Basketball club team this summer, according to head coach Leisha Crawford.
“She has ice in her veins come end-game scenarios,” Crawford said. “Consistently hit back-to-back 3's or a tough layup in close games.”
A good scorer and an aggressive rebounder, Campbell led PSB in scoring throughout the grassroots season and has already has multiple Division-II and Division-III offers on the table. Expect her to have a breakout high school season with Grandview in 2021. Campbell enters the rankings at No. 30.

[player_tooltip player_id="203438" first="Rhae" last="Schulz"], 5'10, SG, Denver East
Denver East has a very excited core coming back for this high school season and Schulz is no small part of that. As a junior, Schulz averaged 7.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game while shooting 33 percent (16 for 48) from 3-point range. She had a season-high 21 points against a good Fairview team in 2019-20 and will enter the upcoming season ranked No. 27.
Shulz can be a tough cover and a tough defender at 5-foot-11 out on the perimeter. What she does as a senior will be something to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="203415" first="Taryn" last="Lindsey"], 5'5, PG, Doherty
A double-digit scorer throughout her time at Doherty, Lindsey can create her own shot off the dribble as well as set up her teammates with on-time passes in traffic. She's also a hard-nosed guard who plays tough defense and has put in a lot of work this offseason in order to add strength and speed to her 5-foot-5 frame. As a junior, she averaged 13.3 points, 2.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
Lindsey enters the 2021 rankings at No. 65.

Playing behind multiple college-bound seniors and recovering from knee surgery, expect Hill to have a bigger impact for perennial title contender Cherry Creek when high school basketball returns to Colorado in the spring. At 6-foot-1 with a high basketball IQ, Bruins head coach Clint Evans, for one, believes Hill will be one of the better players at the center position in the Denver area.
As a junior, Hill averaged 2.8 points and 4.5 rebounds, and consistently found a way to make key plays for her team in big games. She enters the rankings at No. 66.
[player_tooltip player_id="203416" first="Tariana" last="Paige"], 5'11, SF, Vista PEAK
Through the 2019-20 campaign, Paige has waited behind a large and talented group of 2020's ahead of her but Vista Peak coach Howard Payne believes she is ready for the spotlight. At 5-foot-11 with excellent speed and knowledge of the game, Paige has the tools to impact her game with her ability to finish the basketball. Paige has been her club basketball for the Lady Giants and enters the rankings at No. 77.
