PGH Top 250 in OKC – Second Team All-Expo

There was definitely not much separating the extremely outstanding players from the outstanding players on Sunday at Solid Rock Basketball and this list is proof of that. Almost all of these players could have and should have been first team, there just wasn’t enough space on the list for all of the greatness that was on display. [player_tooltip player_id="151320" first="Alexis" last="Lewis"] | 6-0 PF | Sapulpa | 2021 | @alexisl11088020 Lewis is an outstanding all-around player. She drives to the hoop like a small guard cutting through the crowd despite her size. She steps out and hits threes with a confident and easy stroke that seems like it belongs more to a shooting guard. Then she goes inside and uses her body to rebound and defend in the post where she is usually equal to or taller than the player she is guarding. She has the size that college coaches are looking for and is definitely not lacking any of the skills that they need. She currently holds offers from Baker, Tougaloo College, Eastern Oklahoma State and Seward County CC. If she continues to do what she did on Sunday during her senior season at Sapulpa, she will have D-I offers coming soon enough. QuinNae’ Love | 5-5 PG | Tulsa Rogers | 2021 | @QuinnaeLove When I reached out on Twitter for suggestions for the All-Expo team, about half of the messages that I received from players in the Expo mentioned QuinNae’. To me, that either means that she is a very good player or a very good teammate. From what I saw on Sunday, she is both. QuinNae’ is a point guard through and through. She is a very good shooter. She is an elite-level passer. Lastly, she is a far above-average defender. Not only does she hustle constantly, she gets back on defense quicker than anyone that I saw in the Expo. She can somehow drive to the hoop, do a nice little jump-stop, hit the five-foot jumper and be back at the halfcourt line to pick up her opponent in the blink of an eye. I’m not sure if Love has any offers yet, but college coaches are going to need to get to Tulsa this season and see Love and the Ropers put on a show. [player_tooltip player_id="151316" first="Jada" last="Hytche"] | 5-8 SG | Muskogee | 2021 | @jada_hytche Jada is a beast. She is completely unafraid to drive the lane and almost relishes the punishment that inevitably comes with such an endeavor. She is very good at playing through the contact there amongst the trees and finishes the play while picking up the foul. She is a fiery player who seems to truly love the game. Hytche goes hard on both ends and can be a big problem for opposing ball handlers. She has quick hands and her defense is well above average. She can step out and shoot and that threat enables her to get her defender off their feet and use tremendous quickness to head inside. Jada recently picked up her first D-I offer from Maryland - Eastern Shore and has heard from others. Expect the D-I’s to come en masse as word gets around about this tremendous scoring guard with great size and quickness. Raegan Crisp | 5-2 G | Bishop McGuiness | 2022 Another player who was suggested as an All-Expo team member by her compatriots was Raegan Crisp. It is most likely because she spent seemingly the whole day taking the ball from her opponents and then subsequently distributing it to all of her teammates; when I say all of her teammates, I mean ALL of her teammates. Raegan is a very smart player and does a great job of dribbling with her eyes up the floor and diagnosing the play quickly. In the type of "pick-up game" atmosphere on Sunday at Solid Rock, a point guard who can hit the streaking player makes a lot of friends. When people work to get open, it is nice to be rewarded with a quick, on-point pass. Crisp can shoot the three, too. When her team needed it, it seemed like she was the one to always stop an opponents’ run with a big shot. [player_tooltip player_id="30579" first="Isabel" last="Langenberg"] | 6-0 PF | Edmond Memorial | 2021 | @IzzyLangenberg I’m going to go ahead and list Izzy as a power forward here, though anyone who saw her play yesterday knows that isn’t entirely true. She loves to step out and shoot the three or mid-range jumpers and her superior size helps in that. She also spent most of the day defending the opposing team’s center who ranged from 6-0 to 6-4 and did a tremendous job of disrupting the pass in and contesting the shot. She is a very well-rounded player and a great communicator. Her skill set is as varied as the positions she can play. Langenberg recently committed to Division-II UT-Tyler. The Patriots are lucky to be getting such a versatile athlete and should see Langenberg contribute immediately when she arrives after the 2021 season.
