2022 Rankings: Post Players To Know Check out some of the new post players in the Class of 2022 rankings! These post players have had great success so far and have high ceilings for competing at the next level. Each of these fowards/centers play with power and explosiveness inside that make them so hard to stop. #16 [player_tooltip player_id="132384" first="Emma" last="Kilpatrick"] Kilpatrick has had a lot of success so far on the court. She continues to improve her game and has become such an impact player on the floor. She has a high release that is so difficult to defend. Her shot selection is advanced- she doesn’t rush anything but also does well creating contact and drawing fouls to finish at the line. She has improved her on-ball defending and uses her long arms to create a wide frame on defense. She’s added some impressive handles with have helped her become a more versatile forward. #20 [player_tooltip player_id="155780" first="Lianna" last="Baxter"] A super talented forward who can take over a game on both ends of the floor. On defense, Baxter uses her length so well. She constantly has her arms up and is an intimidation factor in the lane. On offense she can put up huge numbers and has become super crafty finishing at the rim. Baxter is such an offensive threat as she has incredible size and ability to score from all three spots. Her energy is high and her motor is higher. She gets up and down the floor so well and seems most comfortable in transition play. #21 [player_tooltip player_id="132378" first="McKenna" last="Monogue"] A solid post player for her team, Monogue has become a smooth shooter from mid-range and perimeter as well. She understands her body well and utilizes crafty moves to size up defenders. Monogue has really improved her perimeter shot and is confident knocking it down from deep behind the arc. She can also be a pretty physical player when fighting for boards- offensive rebounds being her most impressive attribute. #26 [player_tooltip player_id="132389" first="Brynn" last="Olsen"] Olsen continues to raise her stock as she proves how versatile she can be on the floor. Olsen has extreme athleticism and great speed for her size. Her footwork is also elite- she plays tremendous post defense and is such a force when in the lane. She can come out to the perimeter and defend well as she is light on her feet and knows her spots on the floor. She doesn’t force or gamble on blocked shots but times them out just right when she can. She’s an impact defensive player who sees a lot of points off transition baskets and long passes from her guards. #28 [player_tooltip player_id="132391" first="Ashley" last="Sawicki"] Sawicki is a player that teams will definitely look out for this season as she just begins to scratch the surface. She has great size for a post player and moves so well without the ball. Sawicki gets open in so many different ways mostly due to her athleticism and high basketball IQ. She just understands where to be at the right time. She’s added some range to her shot and is confident stepping outside of the block. She can compete in a 5 out offense and still be very effective on the scoreboard. #34 [player_tooltip player_id="155424" first="Megan" last="Alexander"] Alexander is an impressive post player with such a high upside. She has tremendous size for the next level and great footwork to match. She’s a traditional post that impacts the game with her strength and explosiveness on the block. She is composed when finding her shot and is comfortable handling the ball on the block. She has a smooth touch at the rim and is well balanced after using post moves to move defenders. She gets up and down the floor well. Alexander is a great defensive rebounder and does a great job finding her open guards in transition.
