Nearly 200 players will take to the court Saturday morning at Hopkins for the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo but only 16 of them will be seniors. Two of those are marquee players in the class of 2021 who are just out for a little fun – Minnesota commit [player_tooltip player_id="2098" first="Katie" last="Borowicz"] of Roseau and Utah commit [player_tooltip player_id="2126" first="Gianna" last="Kneepkens"] of Duluth Marshall. For the other 14, however, there is a lot at stake as they are still seeking the right opportunity for college basketball.
Of those 14 players, eight currently hold a PGH ranking, two have been covered here in the past and there are four fresh faces we have seen but never done a formal evaluation on. For the benefit of college coaches still seeking 2021 talent, here is a quick rundown on these prospects. The rankings listed are from June. These will be updated this month and some of the players here have earned a bump. The player’s team and jersey number for the Expo are listed, as well.
8 ranked prospects
[player_tooltip player_id="109748" first="Ivane" last="Tensaie"] – guard, Concordia Academy (ranking: #30). Ivane has been doing D2 visits of late but some folks, myself included, believe she can play at the Division I level in the right situation. A big Saturday could bolster that opinion. (Team 12, #12)
[player_tooltip player_id="57078" first="Nora" last="Francois"] – forward, Minnetonka (ranking: #32). Formerly a top 10 player in the class, Nora missed most of last season due to health issues. After working her way back into form this summer, she needs a big senior year. (Team 11, #132)
[player_tooltip player_id="109780" first="Lucia" last="Hauge"] – forward, St. Croix Lutheran (ranking: #91). Often overshadowed by her talented younger sister Laura, Lucia is a solid college prospect in her own right at the forward position. (Team 2, #145)
[player_tooltip player_id="109785" first="Piper" last="Terry"] – guard, Wayzata (ranking: #106). The feisty defender has filled out and bulked up and is playing the best basketball we’ve seen from her. A big Top 250 Expo would help her cause for sure. (Team 11, #71)
[player_tooltip player_id="109800" first="Amaya" last="Doree"] – guard, Champlin Park (ranking: #115). Amaya is a talented athletic guard we profiled earlier this week in our coverage of the Minnesota Fall Exclusive. (Team 11, #31)
[player_tooltip player_id="178415" first="Elli" last="Collins"] – guard/forward, Rochester Mayo (ranking: #118). Elli has improved a ton over the past year and has the size and strength to play at the next level. (Team 6, #126)
[player_tooltip player_id="57158" first="Delaney" last="Hoke"] – forward, Eagan (ranking: #128). Hoke is long and lanky and lean, with an enormous wingspan. With good size and a nice motor Hoke will be an asset at the collegiate level. (Team 8, #152)
[player_tooltip player_id="109809" first="Adi" last="Brown"] – guard, Lakeville South (ranking: #132). Adi is a classic late bloomer with length and size. Her skill improvement over the past year has been impressive. (Team 19, #119)
2 we know well
Bianca Benson – guard, Totino-Grace. Our colleague Mason Asher had some nice things to say about Bianca in his evaluation of her at the Minnesota Fall Exclusive. She’s a solid D3-level floor general. (Team 3, #3)
Sakiah Howard-Reynolds – guard, Columbia Heights. The crafty veteran was with us at last year’s Top 250 Expo and she has continued to improve. She averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game last winter. (Team 4, #44)
4 fresh faces
We have had glimpses of these four but haven’t done full evaluations. We’ll report back on their performance next week:

Grace Conzemius – 6’1 forward, Breckenridge (Team 10, #154)

Ella Jerdee – 5’4 guard, Northfield (Team 1, #1)

Anna Koth – 5’10 forward, Wayzata (Team 11, #91)

Aliyah Wensel – 5’5 guard, Park Center (Team 7, #191)
