The Omaha Burke senior proved herself a true deep threat, with a flurry of them coming early in the day. She drives the basketball with purpose and finishes well inside.
Jordan Metzler – Wakefield 24’
The freshman out of Wakefield was impactful in all areas at the Expo. She has a consistent rhythm when shooting that creates reliability in her jumper. She set some great screens, impressive as a smaller guard, and tracked down some long rebounds for a few extra possessions.
Bri Robinson – Lincoln High 23’
One of the most reliable players of the day was Bri Robinson. It felt like she controlled the pace every minute she spent on the court. She was directing the play exactly where it needed to go. She cut with the necessary speed, timing, and angle. A really impressive outing, and yet another great performance from a young Lincoln High hooper at the Expo.
Emma Hanke – Burke 23’
Hanke demonstrated sharp awareness on defense, especially as a help defender. Her timing when stunting, or leaving her assignment altogether was on point. She never let the ball stick on offense either, keeping the energy up.
Elizabeth Hoffman – Millard West 23’
Rim protection duties for Team 6 were largely taken care of by Elizabeth. In addition, she ran the floor, worked her tail off in the paint, and even stepped out to hit a few threes
Sydney Hybertson – Harrisburg South Dakota 22’
One of my favorite plays of the day was a Bri Robinson assist that rewarded a beautiful backdoor cut by Sydney. She faked that she was taking the screen up to the wing, and slipped behind her unsuspecting defender for a layup in light traffic.
Trumyne Lee – Lincoln Southwest 22’
Always fighting for rebounds, and winning them often. That sums up the day for Trumyne. She even found herself diving for a few loose balls.
