2021 Feature Players

She is smart, disciplined, and patient among many other things. Her decisions with the ball are methodical and exemplify a player that has studied the greatest in the game. She sets herself and her teammates up for success with her constant movement and spacing on the floor, and requires another dimension from opponents defense as she shoots 35% from three. The same open gaps that Mandy attacks offensively, she jumps defensively, using her aggressive defensive skills to create steals and fast breaks left and right. Whether she needs to push the ball, dribble through traffic, or just kill some time while a play gets underway, she’s got it under control. And although she is unselfish and always looking for an open teammate, she is not hesitant to take it to the rim herself. Around the basket, her strong, athletic stature comes to light as she completes absolutely insane finishes over and around multiple defenders. Defensively, she does not take even a moment to relax and is constantly in her opponents face, creating many steals simply through forcing her contenders to panic and lose their composure. &nbsp; <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] - Grant 2021 - C</strong></em> As a post player, it is a critical skill to not only be able to anticipate defenders reactions, but also know exactly where they are at all moments, especially around the basket. Berry exemplifies this quality well, as she is always very aware of her defenders positioning and rarely has to guess what move or pass she should make to properly execute. She has a consistent pull up jumper that she uses around the 12-15 foot range and is not afraid to push the ball herself in the open court- sometimes the entire length of the floor for a layup. Schuyler fights hard for solid box outs and rebounds and is strong enough to manage multiple defenders trying to strip the ball once she brings it down.
