2022 Class All KC Area Preseason 2nd Team

Next up we take a look at the 2022 class. This group of juniors in the KC Metro area may not have the size but it has some of the most gifted and dynamic guards in the entire state! They all have show improvements to their games and are exciting to watch. Playing with no fear and using their advanced skill sets, these juniors are poised to have even bigger seasons starting in November! <hr /> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">2nd Team</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="173426" first="Stevi" last="Yancy"] Ι 5’5" CG Ι Raytown Ι Della Lamb Running Angels AAU Ι Uncommitted</strong></p> A dynamic playmaking lead guard with elite ball skills, Stevi had a solid sophomore season earning a spot on the Class 5 1st Team All-Conference and All-District team. She has range out past the three-point line and is creative getting attacking the basket. When she moves off the ball, Stevi has great instincts finding space to get her shot off and attacking the basket. Her handles and tight and free-flowing as she creates against a defender. An excellent on-ball and weak side defender playing passing lanes; creating steals. A quick guard with a high motor and basketball IQ. <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="161761" first="Tiyani" last="Rollins"] Ι 5’5" PG Ι Blue Springs South Ι KC Lady Run GMC AAU Ι Uncommitted</strong></p> One of the best on-ball defenders in the state; a true lockdown defender. She has super quick hands that cause deflections and turnovers. She has excellent court vision and awareness finding her teammates. Her handles are solid and she can be unguardable off the bounce. A knockdown shooter from three, Tiyani has a smooth quick shot. She has a high motor and basketball IQ and reads and anticipates well on both ends of the floor. <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187636" first="Micah" last="Landry"] Ι 6’0" SF Ι Blue Springs South Ι KC Lady Run GMC AAU Ι Uncommitted</strong></p> A solid wing forward with good overall skills. Micah is a capable shooter and ball handler. Her size and length make her an excellent defender to go along with her speed and quickness. She anticipates well away from the ball and runs the floor well. She is a rim finisher and is a very active player out on the floor. Really has good lateral movement to help and recover on defense. <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="190382" first="Symiah" last="Bradley"] Ι 6’1" SF Ι Blue Springs Ι KC Lady Run GMC AAU Ι Uncommitted</strong></p> An athletic forward with some guard skills, Symiah has great length and size to battle around the rim. She is very active defensively and has a nose for the ball. She is a great on-ball and help-side defender and an excellent rebounder. She really plays strong and attacks on defense and on offense. Symiah has a high motor and almost always has a positive effect on the game when she is on the floor. <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187637" first="Saneea" last="Bevley"] Ι 5’7" CG Ι Blue Springs South Ι Uncommitted</strong></p> An All-Conference, All-District selection before suffering an ACL injury, Saneea has slowly worked her way back into her freshman year form. She is a strong combo guard that is an excellent shooter from three. She can create off the dribble with either hand and scores at all three levels. She has a great feel and pace of play for the game; she never gets rushed or forces shots. Saneea is a solid defender on-ball and rebounds well from the guard position.
