Grinnell was a fun offensive team to watch in 2019-20, scoring over 90 points twice. The Tigers had a great run going until coming up against Gilbert in a regional championship. Junior Meredith McKnight led the team at just under 13 points per game, shooting over 42 percent from the field and 37 percent from the three-point line. She also had a team-high 82 assists. The team earned a runner-up showing in the ultra-competitive Little Hawkeye Conference, placing just a game back of Indianola and tied with Dallas Center-Grimes.

2-18 last year
27.5 points scored, 53.6 points against

Things were tough on both ends of the floor for Griswold last year, but the Tigers return several key components and should make strides forward. McKenna Wiechman led the team in scoring last year as a freshman, posting 147 points. Mikala Pelzer was the top rebounder and Hope Ogg had a team-high 43 assists. Both Pelzer and Ogg are seniors now and bring plenty of experience to the Tigers.

Mikala Pelzer - 6.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.9 SPG, 1.2 APG

9 returning players</p>
A runner-up finish in the North Iowa Cedar Conference West division was among the highlights for Grundy Center in 2019-20. And with junior Lainy Thoren returning to the fold, the expectations are even higher in 2020-21 for the Spartans. Thoren led the team in several categories including scoring, rebounding and assists. She finished with 264 points, 177 boards and 69 assists. Grundy Center will need more of that along with continued development from the likes of [player_tooltip player_id="129045" first="Paiton" last="Wallis"], [player_tooltip player_id="163332" first="Bailey" last="Reding"] and others.
