Continue ReadingArizona had a lot of great individual performances from Oregon based players, as they continued to develop their skills in this extended AAU season. Lainey Spear Lainey Spear 6'2" | PF Beaverton | 2023 State OR is an intriguing forward who combines length and skill in a 6’2″ package. Halle Hageman Halle Hageman 5'6" | SG Mountainside | 2022 State OR is the electric point guard who makes exciting plays routinely. Audrey Roden Audrey Roden 5'9" | SG West Linn | 2021 State OR is the sharpshooter who makes opponents pay for an ounce of space. Tabi Searle Tabi Searle 5'10" | SG Tualatin | 2023 State OR is an athletic guard with upside as a shooter and finisher in transition. Afton Keeney Afton Keeney 6'0" | PF Westview | 2021 State OR is a brute force in the paint who is flat out productive. Rilyn Quirke Rilyn Quirke 5'11" | SF Barlow | 2023 State OR is a tough interior play who can space the floor from the perimeter.
Lainey Spear Lainey Spear 6'2" | PF Beaverton | 2023 State OR 2023 6’2″ PF Clutch Rose/Beaverton HS – Lainey is the swift, charismatic forward with tremendous wingspan who also shows adaptability as far as playside alongside the perimeter. Defensively, she is cunning and knows how to take advantage of her length by jumping on passes. Shows good fluidity as an interior scorer and is only getting better at this point in her development. Had a significant 5 point, 4 rebound, 4 assist effort versus a tough Troop West team.
Halle Hageman Halle Hageman 5'6" | SG Mountainside | 2022 State OR 2022 5’6″ PG NW Stars Navy/Mountainside HS – Hageman is the dynamic, electric player we have all come to know as she flourishes both in the transition and half-court setting. She plays with a certain confidence that is difficult to find as she makes highlight passes and huge shots. Versus Clutch Players, she sank four out of eight from deep for 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists as she was a constant source of offense for her team.
Audrey Roden Audrey Roden 5'9" | SG West Linn | 2021 State OR 2021 5’9″ SG Cal Stars/West Linn HS – Roden certainly saved her best for last, as the Nevada signee had 16 points and 3 rebounds in a thriller against the San Diego Waves where they fought valiantly but ultimately came up short. Roden sank four from deep as she provided for offensive in spurts when her team most needed it. She provided as a stingy defender who makes it her goal to be an ignited two-way player.
Tabi Searle Tabi Searle 5'10" | SG Tualatin | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG NW Stars White/Tualatin HS – Tabi was one of the biggest surprises for NW Stars White, as she made some huge strides this past weekend in Arizona. Against Nike EYBL Cal Sparks 16U, she provided for some tremendous moments as she finished plays in transition, resulting in two and-ones. The Tualatin guard has length at the guard position and possesses a certain agileness finishing at the basket that is difficult to come by.
Afton Keeney Afton Keeney 6'0" | PF Westview | 2021 State OR 2021 6’0″ PF Clutch Cardinal/Westview HS – Keeney was a staple inside the post for Clutch Cardinal – on both ends as she forward is incredibly productive as a scorer and rebounder. Against NW Stars and a worthy adversary in that of Truitt Reilly Truitt Reilly 6'1" | PF Silverton | 2021 State OR , Keeney dueled the forward into a significant 11 point, 11 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal effort – showing that she will not only perform but give it her all on the court in tough situations.
Rilyn Quirke Rilyn Quirke 5'11" | SF Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 6’0″ PF NW Stars White/Barlow HS – Rilyn had some big games, continuing to grow confidence and augment as a player as the disciplined and versatile player had a good showing in Arizona. She rebounds well due to size and skills and can score from the perimeter as well as within the paint. Versus Cal Sparks San Diego, Quirke had a significant 9 point, 3 rebound, 2 steal effort where she was a key contributor in a solid victory for her team.
