In this article, we are going to highlight the girls in the 2021 Rankings Class that enjoy being shot blockers and send basketballs into the stands and shakes their fingers at them like someone we all know, right. These girls are big and they are long and lengthy and know how to use their size to get the job done in the paint and defend their baskets.
2021, 6’4, C/PF, Harvard Westlake HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49223" first="KiKi" last="Iriafen"] (Stanford Commit) - All around athlete, highly athletic, very skilled, tenacious rebounder and just a menace on the court for anyone trying to guard her. High Major talent for sure, shoots the ball out to the free throw line, skilled with left or right over the shoulder post play. This kid is one of the toughest defenders as well and plays with a very high IQ for the game. Always makes the right play and is still growing in my opinion.
2021, 6’5, C, Rolling Hills Prep HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49227" first="Clarice" last="Akunwafo"] (USC Commit) - is another developing big with great upside in her future. She has a very solid body type, meaning she has a college body rigtht now. She has great finishing abilities under the rim, tough and aggressive as a center on the floor. She is a bully down low and her high school puts her at the top of the press to make you throw the ball over her for a steal.
2021, 6’4, C, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id="102659" first="Jessica" last="Peterson"] (Fresno State Commit) - A distinguished defender who knows how to use her body and isn’t afraid to do it. Against FBC she had 4 points and 6 rebounds in an even display of play at both ends. She thrives on cleaning up on the offensive boards and getting her points in that fashion but has been able to knock down the open shot. Peterson is a defensive minded player whose value is immeasurable on that end, when the team gets any significant offensive production from her it is a bonus.
2021, 6’6, C, Troy HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49236" first="Endigo" last="Parker"] (University of the Pacific Commit) - Endigo is a long and lanky center with a numerous amount of skills, she showed us her soft hands and shooting ability from the midrange area of the floor, she used the backboard and also showed us her ability to block shots at a consistent basis. She has right and left finishing abilities and she is not afraid to mix it up with bigger and heavier post players.
