2020-21 Previews: Humboldt, IKM-Manning, Independence

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Humboldt Wildcats</strong> 11-11 last year 46.9 points scored, 48.0 points against 12 returning players</p> It has been a strong run for Humboldt in girls sports as the softball team reached the state tournament over the summer and the volleyball program punched a ticket into the elite field in the fall. Now, the Wildcats look to carry that over to the hardwood with a dozen returning players led by starters Kendal Clark, Bae Arnold and Jori Hajek. Clark was a multi-sport athlete last winter, capturing a state wrestling title. She also scored 232 points with 170 rebounds, 53 steals, 39 assists and 34 blocks. Hajek led the Wildcats with 102 steals and 73 assists. <p style="text-align: left;">Notable returners:</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Kendal Clark - 11.0 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 2.5 SPG Jori Hajek - 7.7 PPG, 4.6 SPG, 3.5 RPG, 3.3 APG Jayda Hoefer - 6.0 PPG, 3.2 RPG Bae Arnold - 5.5 PPG, 1.8 RPG</p> &nbsp; <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>IKM-Manning Wolves</strong> 17-6 last year 61.5 points scored, 41.8 points against 9 returning players</p> IKM-Manning is coming off a strong 17-win season that saw them advance to the regional semifinals before a tough loss to Panorama. The Wolves, though, see their leading scorer and rebounder depart due to graduation, leaving a hole to fill. Thankfully, returning starters such as [player_tooltip player_id="131213" first="Alexa" last="Ahrenholtz"], Nicole Hansen and Bianca Cadwell help soften that blow. Ahrenholtz and Hansen made 36 and 39 three-pointers a year ago, with Ahrenholtz also recording over 100 rebounds and steals. Both saw plenty of time on the court as freshman a year ago. They are joined by several others including Grace Krueger, Shanna Kleve and Maddie Hunter who look to help off-set the loss of six seniors.
