For three days, the 12th Annual Boo Williams Christmas Tournament provided a high quality event which allowed players to work off their Christmas desserts, all while playing quality competition, before entering into high school conference play.
The “Boo Plex” played host to 56 schools representing VA, DC, PA, MD, and NY. Teams were divided evenly by talent level, into 8 divisions, including a Junior Varsity “JV” division.
The setting allowed for players to showcase their talents before several college coaches. In attendance, were Division 1 Coaches representing the ACC, AAC, CAA, CUSA, MEAC, Big South, SoCon, Division II coaches from the CIAA and CACC. Division III coaches were from the CAC and ODAC conferences.
The Gold Division was headlined by nationally ranked New Hope Academy (MD) and VA powerhouse Princess Anne High School. The division featured several girls ranked nationally in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 classes as well as Power 5 commits.
Princess Anne and New Hope met in the Gold championship game with New Hope taking the trophy with a 62-44 victory.

Aziaha James – 2021 – Princess Anne (VA) – Long lanky Slasher, Looks to finish at the rim in transition push, Willing on ball defender, Handles are there, Can hit perimeter looks, Tremendous upside
Akunna Konkwo – 2019 – Bishop Ireton (VA) – Strong build, Great feet, Hands, Uses entire college frame on post ups, Active rebounder on both ends, Good athleticism, High percentage finisher in the paint. True post who’s work ethic makes her difficult to contain
JaNiya Quinerly – 2021- Lake Taylor (VA) – Elite handles, Hesitation and step back are high level, Floats it consistently over bigs, Transition pushes are highlight material,Floor general, IQ, Rainbow 3 ball is consistent
MacKayla Scarlett – 2020 – St Frances Prep (NY) – Slasher, Attacks and finishes with consistency, Plays stronger than build, Handles, Skilled, Physically reminds me of Moriah Jefferson
Jada Walker – 2021 – New Hope Academy (MD) – Elite 2021 point guard, Pesky on ball defender, Handles, IQ, Facilitator who pushes tempo in transition, Makes proper read, Finishes at rim with either hand over trees, Effective pull up game, Consistently knocks down open looks out the three, Coaches daughter and it shows
Demi Washington – 2019 – Vanderbilt commit – New Hope Academy (MD) – Athletic Guard/Wing, Effective in the back or front court, Boards well, Lift is definitely there, Crafty handles, Consistent scorer at all levels, Plays with physicality, Defender
