Breakdown:
[player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"]:
Richman ran the show for Clutch Rose as she was rebounding with great consistency and finding all her teammates in stride. She made several from deep and had an amazing turn-around jumper. A very poised and highly skilled guard who can turn it on at any given moment which this game clearly showed. Her responsibility the last few months at 28.5 was to run a tidy ship but perhaps it was forgotten her ability to take control of a game - including tempo and control. Richman’s 11 point, 8 rebound, 5 assist performance was masterful.
Excellent Guard Play
Outside of Richman, Clutch Rose had some superb guard play from the likes of [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"], [player_tooltip player_id="158544" first="Emma" last="Sixta"], and [player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"]. This trio provides for some eclectic scoring, facilitating, and defending as they each bring a unique piece to the bigger picture. [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] is the aggressive guard who plays with a lot of resilience and is highly skilled as a three-level scorer. Sixta is the cerebral guard who plays with a lot of confidence and can sink it from deep but also find others in stride. Naro is the third in line as the youngest of the three Naro sisters who brings a blend of traditional point guard play with leadership skills.
Lamet: Biggest Surprise
[player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"] has had some huge moments in 28.5 as she is Spear’s back-up but shows a lot of promise as an interior scorer who is incredibly simple but efficient. She has a lot of patience backing down her defender and she is undeniable as a low-post scorer at 6’4”. Lamet has a nice touch around the basket as she can sink the stationary shot and is improving as a defender. Her 8 point total was an impressive statistic as she came off the bench and scored three out of the last four times for Clutch Rose.
