Final: Clutch Rose 49 - Fresno Lady Heat 17U Clutch Rose played a game with Fresno Lady Heat 17U on Saturday at the 28.5 League Championships. Things started on a Clutch Rose 10-7 run as this was the closest this game would get all contest long. Spear found [player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"] for a score as Richman would have a sensational game. [player_tooltip player_id="158544" first="Emma" last="Sixta"] found Richman for a triple as Richman fired it into Sixta for a nice reverse lay-up. [player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"] had a nice left handed finish as Naro found Borter for a triple. [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] had a nice scoop lay-up as Richman had a jumper on the next possession. Richman found Borter at the rim as Sixta found Richamn for a wrap around. [player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"] found Sixta for a triple as the final score of the first half was a Richman to Sixta triple. At halftime, Clutch Rose led 27-15 as this trend would continue into the second half. Sixta would jab into a floater as Spear pump faked her way to the basket. Richman rebound into a transition pass to Sper. Naro to Richman dribble turn around floater that was Kobe-esque. Richman half-court find to [player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"]. Naro skip pass to Borter. Sixta to Lamet in the past followed by a Spear to Lamet short jumper. Borter key of the key isolation drive as the final score came on a Borter to Lamey score. Final score would be Clutch Rose 49-25. Stats: [player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"]: 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal [player_tooltip player_id="158544" first="Emma" last="Sixta"]: 10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 steals [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"]: 13 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal [player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"]: 8 points, 2 rebounds [player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"]: 2 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists [player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"]: 4 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block [player_tooltip player_id="204588" first="Alexa" last="Borter"]: 1 point, 5 rebounds, 3 steals Breakdown: [player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"]: Richman ran the show for Clutch Rose as she was rebounding with great consistency and finding all her teammates in stride. She made several from deep and had an amazing turn-around jumper. A very poised and highly skilled guard who can turn it on at any given moment which this game clearly showed. Her responsibility the last few months at 28.5 was to run a tidy ship but perhaps it was forgotten her ability to take control of a game - including tempo and control. Richman’s 11 point, 8 rebound, 5 assist performance was masterful. Excellent Guard Play Outside of Richman, Clutch Rose had some superb guard play from the likes of [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"], [player_tooltip player_id="158544" first="Emma" last="Sixta"], and [player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"]. This trio provides for some eclectic scoring, facilitating, and defending as they each bring a unique piece to the bigger picture. [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] is the aggressive guard who plays with a lot of resilience and is highly skilled as a three-level scorer. Sixta is the cerebral guard who plays with a lot of confidence and can sink it from deep but also find others in stride. Naro is the third in line as the youngest of the three Naro sisters who brings a blend of traditional point guard play with leadership skills. Lamet: Biggest Surprise [player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"] has had some huge moments in 28.5 as she is Spear’s back-up but shows a lot of promise as an interior scorer who is incredibly simple but efficient. She has a lot of patience backing down her defender and she is undeniable as a low-post scorer at 6’4”. Lamet has a nice touch around the basket as she can sink the stationary shot and is improving as a defender. Her 8 point total was an impressive statistic as she came off the bench and scored three out of the last four times for Clutch Rose.
