To sum things up, Fargo Davies has a lot of prospects to know and get acquainted with. The roster has a good blend of experienced seniors and young up-and-coming prospects from its prospect pool. As with many big schools, Davies has prospects on their roster that don’t get regular playing time that still need to be mentioned and get excited about as well. From a 2024 point guard, a lengthy 5’9 2023 combo guard with promise, to a developmental 6’2 2023 center.
Fargo Davies Eagles (4-0)
[player_tooltip player_id="98659" first="Ryleigh" last="Wacha"] - (5’10/CG/2021) - 21.8 ppg. - 11.5 rpg. - 4.3 apg. - 4.3 stls. - 2.0 blks. - Ryleigh is possibly the best playmaker in the state. She’s currently the #5 2021 prospect but she will be moving up. She had a 37 point outburst vs. West Fargo Sheyenne and hauled down 18 boards vs. West Fargo. Gets a bunch of steals throughout a game, and turns them quickly into transition plays — usually leading to two points for herself. Does a lot of her damage in transition or getting easily into the lane. Has very good top-end speed and quickness with the ball in her hands. Oh, and she shoots the three well too. University of Mary is getting a good one.
[player_tooltip player_id="98718" first="Taylor" last="Fey"] - (6’0/PF/2021) - 14.8 ppg. - 5.8 rpg. - Taylor gets the job done inside. Good height at 6’0 and moves fairly well. She can hit a deep two and go off-the-dribble. But makes her living scoring close to the hoop. She doesn’t have any wasted movements with the ball in her hands. She’s relentless at taking it at the defense in the lane. She’s committed D2 to University of Minnesota-Duluth.
[player_tooltip player_id="14172" first="Ava" last="Wild"] - (6’0/SF/2022) - 7.0 ppg. - 6.5 rpg. - 3.5 stls. - Long and a very athletic 6’0 prospect. Athleticism in all the categories — vertical (2nd jump), lateral movement, quickness, speed. An elite and versatile defender that will play extremely tight on the perimeter, pressuring and mirroring the ball. She can easily guard all five positions, without worry. Consistently crashes the boards and out-jumps opponents. Ava is only going to continue to get better as her offensive skills progress. If she improves her ball skills and touch around the rim, she could really blossom.
[player_tooltip player_id="97899" first="Brooklynn" last="Koenig"] - (5’6/SG/2021) - 10.3 ppg. - 5 apg. - 2.8 stls. - (10 assist game vs. West Fargo Sheyenne) - Brooklynn is a highly underrated prospect. She’s a solid all-around Senior guard for Davies. Brooklynn will be very vital in determining how far Davies advances. Does most of her damage from three, as she’s made 8 through four games. She’s accurate with a smooth stroke from long range and she knows when she’s open and doesn’t hesitate to fire it up, creating a consistent rhythm. She has all the necessary skills to be a complete prospect — handling the ball with speed, passing, shooting, etc. There aren’t many holes in her game.
[player_tooltip player_id="98720" first="Jenna" last="Leingang"] - (5’9/SG/2021) - Jenna is a lefty three-point shooter. She had 9 points and 3 made threes vs. West Fargo. She’ll roam around the three-point line, locked-and-loaded for her shot.
[player_tooltip player_id="14170" first="Taylor" last="Safranski"] - (5’7/PG/2022) - Taylor has ball-handling duties for Fargo Davies. Against West Fargo, Taylor scored 11 points, and is averaging 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game on the season. She’s a slow-it-down, composed style point guard. Her main focus for herself is to set up her team for successful offensive possessions and to get the ball to her playmakers. A smart and on-target passer. She’ll fire an open three.

[player_tooltip player_id="240254" first="Makayla" last="Selensky"] - (5’8/SF/2021) - A role player for Davies that has good size and will use her body well.
[player_tooltip player_id="240261" first="Marissa" last="Burian"] - (5’8/SG/2022) - A role player, and her role is a three-point shooter. She has 7 makes on the season and 6 are threes. Made four threes in the season opener vs. Wahpeton.
[player_tooltip player_id="98716" first="Ellen" last="Donat"] - (5’8/SG/2021) - A defensive specialist, Ellen is a focused and quick defender, on and off ball. She’s a long 5’8 and will all-out deny and play the passing lanes hard. Exceptional top-end speed when she goes full-throttle. Sprints the court and shows high, consistent effort all game.
[player_tooltip player_id="240276" first="Maci" last="Wheeldon"] - (6’2/C/2023) - Entered the Wahpeton game and scored 6 points. Her feet need to improve, but Maci is skilled enough and moves well enough to be considered a regular post player for Davies in the years ahead.
[player_tooltip player_id="100423" first="Ashley" last="Wacha"] - (5’9/CG/2023) - A good-sized guard with very long arms. She’s one of the best prospects in the state that doesn’t get regular playing time because of Davies’ roster construction. She can snatch a board and take it coast-to-coast in a hurry, just like her sister Ryleigh. A talented passer as well. Next year is the year she really takes notice.
[player_tooltip player_id="240173" first="Ashton" last="Safranski"] - (5’4/PG/2024) - A 2024 prospect to get fairly excited about as a future point guard. In limited playing time, Ashton’s stat lines are: 6 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and two 3’s made in game 1 vs. Wahpeton. Game two was 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals, and also two 3’s made. She takes care of the ball, hits open threes, and makes defensive plays.
[player_tooltip player_id="100427" first="Brooke" last="Everson"] - (5’6/CG/2023) - Another solid up-and-coming guard. Hasn’t scored this season but you can see some basketball IQ and skills. Moves well and plays sound pressure defense.
[player_tooltip player_id="218144" first="Karley" last="Franks"] - (5’6/SG/2024) - Karley attended the PGH Dakotas Top 250 Expo, so PGH got to see her in action there as well as the recent Wahpeton opener. She’s a good athlete with good speed and has hit two threes in limited minutes. A 2024 prospect to watch, as she could become a solid prospect.
