Top Returning Rebounders

Some of the top rebounders from a season ago will be returning once the 2021 season tips off in January. These players had memorable performances attacking the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends. Let's take a look at the top returning rebounders heading into the new season. <strong>Anisha Able, Barringer, Jr.: </strong>Able was a rebounding machine for Barringer with 347 in 19 games, an average of 18.3 per game. She had four triple-doubles on the season with blocks. She had nine games of 20 or more rebounds. Able also averaged 6.1 blocks per game. <strong>Diamonique Williams, Shabazz, Sr.</strong> – Williams finished with 311 rebounds in 20 games last season. She was second in the state with 15.6 rebounds per game. Williams totaled five 20-rebound games in the 2019-20 season. <strong>Riley Feichtl, Sussex Tech, Jr.</strong> – Feichtl finished a strong sophomore season with 13.1 rebounds per game. She had 19 double-digit rebounding performances. Feichtl had some incredible rebounding performances, including 25 against Somerset Tech, 22 against Manville, 21 against Warren Tech and 20 against North Warren. <strong>Janai Hawley, Leonia, Jr.</strong> – Hawley averaged 13 rebounds per game as a sophomore for Leonia last season. She was typically good for 10 rebounds in every game, and her season-high came against Bergen Charter and Dwight-Englewood, where she had 20 apiece. Hawley totaled 14 double-doubles on the year, averaging 10.6 points per game. <strong>Jermyra Bowman-Bethea, LEAP Academy, So. </strong>– Bowman-Bethea finished off a strong freshman season with 10 straight double-digit rebounding performances to end the season.
