North Dakota Rankings Update: 2021 Class Newcomers

#33 [player_tooltip player_id="98747" first="Nadia" last="Post"] - Glenburn - (5’7/CG/2021) - Nadia is a solid addition to the 2021 rankings and recently committed to NJCAA D1 North Dakota State College of Science. Not incredibly skilled in one area but very solid in all areas of guard play. Can shoot the three with consistent accuracy. A great transition player and finisher. Plays passing lanes and jumps the pass very well to create steals and transition buckets. Can play both the point and a wing spot. #36 [player_tooltip player_id="238766" first="Megan" last="Klein"] - Bismarck Century - (6’0/PF-C/2021) - Megan is the starting post for undefeated Bismarck Century. She’s a big part of their success and is 85% from the free-throw line and leads the team in rebounding at 6.3 per game. Runs the floor and plays hard and actively. A good and long athlete that’s underrated in the state and on most other teams she could be a higher producing post type. #38 [player_tooltip player_id="249899" first="Paige" last="Balliet"] - Dickinson - (5’11/PF/2021) - A newcomer that is putting up some strong numbers in the WDA. Paige is tied for fifth in scoring in the WDA at 15.0 ppg. She has been highly efficient, shooting 59% from the field. #39 [player_tooltip player_id="243767" first="Malayna" last="Barendt"] - Devils Lake - (5’7/PG/2021) - Point guard for undefeated Devils Lake. Averaging 5.3 ppg. with high assist numbers at 4.2 per game. Malayna is a smooth, under control point guard that is also a great passer. She enjoys setting up her teammates and dropping dimes. #44 [player_tooltip player_id="222442" first="Drew" last="Frolek"] - Wyndmere/Lidgerwood - (5’3/PG/2021) - A super-quick and competitive guard. She can handle the ball and is in attack mode with the ball in her hands. Drew is always looking for her shot and looking to attack. Low to the ground and an explosive athlete with sudden quickness. #48 [player_tooltip player_id="238574" first="Madeleine" last="Stefonowicz"] - Thompson - (5’11/PF-C/2021) - Plays inside for Thompson and has good height and length. A smart and active post defender, eliminating passing angles for the offense. Has good overall playing strength and can battle inside for offensive boards and put-backs. #49 [player_tooltip player_id="240866" first="Jasmine" last="Sondrol"] - Grand Forks Red River - (6’0/SF/2021) - Jasmine is a 6’0 wing that gets the job done. Not overly athletic but uses her size well and can shoot the three. She’s scoring and rebounding well at 13.0 ppg. and 4.6 rpg. Great wing defender in their zone. #52 [player_tooltip player_id="251024" first="Jasmine" last="Sherlock"] - Sargent County - (5’6/PG/2021) - A solid, tough, and skilled guard, Jasmine is a nice addition to the 2021 rankings. She’s quick and hustles the floor hard. A smart and accurate passer that moves the ball well around the perimeter. Compact and sturdy frame and plays with toughness and confidence. Quick on the defensive end and tries to anticipate passes and action. #58 [player_tooltip player_id="245020" first="Morgan" last="Nelson"] - Northern Cass - (5’11/SF/2021) - Morgan is an athlete that moves well and has good length. Moves with fluidity both laterally and in a straight line. Uses her length well to make defensive plays and cause disruption to the opposing offense. #60 [player_tooltip player_id="249291" first="Lexis" last="Olson"] - Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich - (6’0/PG/2021) - A tall point guard that has quick feet. Uses her quick feet to stay in front on defense and to attack off-the-dribble offensively. A great passer with great court vision. Her passes have a purpose and are usually finding an open shooter or teammate cutting to the hoop.
