There have been a few transfers throughout the state, well quite a few yet I’m dropping something on the ones I’ve personally seen and how they fit into the new system they’ve gone into. [player_tooltip player_id="158679" first="Jade" last="Miller"] left Manvel as one of the states top defensive guards, she can run the one and shoot the long ball so she will be a welcome addition to Lutheran North’s high octane offense fueled by [player_tooltip player_id="65932" first="Dalanna" last="Carter"] who’s dropping close to 30 ppg and the Lions also have Shunteria Davis, a freshman from Travis who will fill in many blanks on both ends of the floor

Carter is an explosive scorer, she gave me an eyeful when I called her a #D1Lock in the 4th grade and both eyes were full watching her drop almost 50 in one of her first games with the Lions. She can defenders off the dribble with ease, with either hand and she has that "turbo" last step that just blows by whoever is trying to guard her. It’s easy for her to do that because of her range, somewhere from another stratosphere, and watching her create off the dribble to come around the pick and drop the catch and shoot, she is a nightmare to defend
Houston Christian
[player_tooltip player_id="96127" first="D’Asia" last="Thomas"]
Thomas was #BCSLocked in before she left Waller HS and with her size, strength, athleticism, and skill-set all part of the reasons, she’s gotten even better since I caught her during the club season and not only does she finish with either hand, after contact, she has developed a nice game facing the basket to score off of a variety of moves yet her midrange has else gotten better and she’s extended yet it doesn’t stop there as she attacks the rim strongly and teams with Syracuse signee [player_tooltip player_id="97916" first="Amani" last="Bartlett"] to form one of the top Dynamic Duo’s in the state
[player_tooltip player_id="134031" first="Jalayah" last="Ingram"]
Ingram was on one of those star-studded young teams that I knew would eventually break-up and when it did, she broke completely out and off when I caught back up with her at Dawson last season. She was fast with the ball early, that’s huge especially when you factor in her being "under control" yet she showed she could run a squad quite well. Fast forward to now, she’s still running a team and when you have a couple of #BCS targets, that helps, so does her range and savviness on the court because she doesn’t flustered, her passes are crisp and on the money, but so is her game
The Village School
Elizabeth Walton-5’6 G
Walton added depth to the defending TAPPS-6A State Champion after leaving Westbury Christian and one thing The Village needed was depth as they sometimes suited up 6 last season yet she’s heady, plays within herself, and can score either off the dribble, I mentioned the nice floater she dropped in traffic in an earlier article but she understands how to set the defender up, how to create her shot and she knocks it down
