2022 Jayla Dixon, 6’0” Forward, Crete-Monee
A strong and versatile player at the stretch-Forward position, Dixon has a well-rounded game and contributes on both ends of the court. She uses her strength in the post to gain position and finishes with touch around the rim, while also possessing a solid mid-range jumper. Jayla is a tremendous asset on defense, where she plays tough on the low block and uses her athleticism to step outside and guard the perimeter.
2022 Kameron Jones, 5’5” Guard, Crete-Monee
Jones is a speedy Lead Guard who shows great leadership qualities in the way she plays and communicates on the floor. She loves to push the ball in transition and uses good court vision and passing abilities to create easy buckets for her teammates. Kameron defends opposing Point Guards well with her toughness and quick feet.
2022 Nakia Bardney, 6’1” Forward, Simeon
Perhaps the most impressive player throughout the scrimmages, Bardney is an athletic Forward who can play a Guard role with her ball-handling and passing skills. Nakia is a high-motor, max effort player and it shows with her rebound totals on both ends of the court.
2022 Jamarea LaCaze, 6’1” Forward, Thornwood
LaCaze is a tall and strong post player with great length, all of which help her dominate on the glass. Jamarea is a solid presence on the low block with her scoring ability and the talent to contest shots on the defensive end.
2023 Tatianna McLaren, 5’9” Guard, Phillips
McLaren is a skilled Guard with good strength and power when attacking the lane. She can play multiple Guard spots with her ability to handle the ball and score from the wing. Tatianna is an excellent passer and tough rebounder on both ends of the court.
2023 Vionche Terry, 5’8” Guard, Phillips
A smooth Guard who brings a ton of energy to her team, Terry made a lot of plays on both offense and defense. She can shoot the three well, but really thrives at using her strength to finish through contact at the rim. Vionche also gives you a tough defender with good length who can guard a variety of players.
2023 Jabrea LaCaze, 6’3” Forward, Thornwood
LaCaze is a tough matchup in the post with her strength and ability to rebound the ball at a high level. Jabrea defends well in the paint, using her height and long arms to block or alter shots often.
2024 Lakeeyah Barnes, 5’4” Guard, Phillips
A quick and shifty Point Guard, Barnes thrives in an up-tempo game where she can push the ball up the floor and facilitate to open teammates. She has a good-looking shot from deep and can finish with creative moves at the bucket. Lakeeyah is a tough and scrappy on-ball defender who constantly frustrates opposing ball-handlers.
2024 Trinity Chears, 5’6” Guard, Thornwood
Chears is a talented Combo Guard who handles the ball well and thrives when attacking the lane. Trinity can shoot the ball well from deep but loves to drive from the wing and use her strength to finish in traffic and draw fouls.
2024 Kayla Johnson, 5’8” Guard, Thornwood
An athletic Guard with a strong offensive game, Johnson shoots the ball well from beyond the three-point line. Kayla has good strength which she uses to drive the lane and finish through contact at the hoop.
2024 Brittney Veugeler, 5’5” Guard, Lincoln-Way Central
Veugeler is a composed ball-handler who uses good maturity and leadership abilities to get the offense going for her team. Brittney has a good-looking shot and can score in transition, but already plays like a true Point Guard in the way she leads her team on both ends of the floor.
