Here are five standout 2021 prospects from this past week’s action:
Isabella Earle Isabella Earle 5'8" | SG Denton Guyer | 2021 State TX | 2021 | 5’10’’ Combo Guard | Denton Guyer HS – Earle put together a brilliant all-around performance against Allen. She pushed the tempo on offense, going coast-to-coast on several occasions, while also suffocating her opponents on defense. The Abilene Christian commit was productive on the glass at both ends as well. Additionally, Earle knocked down a three and did a good job handling the ball under pressure. She ended the night as the games leading scorer with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
Laila Lawrence | 2021 | 5’11’’ Power Forward | Lewisville HS – Lawrence has solid size at 5-feet-11-inches, but she plays bigger than that. She runs the floor in transition and finishes the break extremely well. The senior forward was outstanding when it came to scoring through contact on Friday, regularly converting at the basket despite being fouled. Her body control was excellent in those situations. Furthermore, she cleaned the glass for the farmers at both ends.
Mackenzie Wurm Mackenzie Wurm 6'3" | C Allen | 2021 State TX | 2021 | 6’3’’ Power Forward | Allen HS – I feel like a broken record by saying this once again, but nobody protects the rim quite like Wurm. She is a master shot blocker who stays vertical and defends the paint without fouling. The Louisiana Tech commit contributed a pair of blocks and also added eight points to her stat line vs. Guyer, displaying the ability to make mid-range jumpers from the catch and finishing well in transition.
KK Blair | 2021 | Point Guard | Lewisville HS – Blair isn’t the tallest or the most athletic prospect, but that didn’t stop her from being the best perimeter player on the floor Friday night. She makes smart decisions, delivers accurate passes, and buries jumpers from mid to long range. The Lewisville floor general has a terrific feel for the game, moving well without the ball on offense and making opportunistic plays on defense. She accounted for 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals against Coppell.
Chloe Hassman | 2021 | 5’11’’ Small Forward | Coppell HS – Hassman has a limitless motor. She consistently plays with a sense of urgency. Although they ultimately came up short, the senior wing fueled Coppell’s late-game comeback attempt, aggressively slashing her way to the basket for quick buckets and forcing turnovers with her relentless defense. She made some deep mid-range jumpers off the dribble too, proving that defenses need to respect her as shooter.
