Region 6-4A is in the final day of its region tourney and Prep Girls Hoops took in the action at Myrtle Beach HS. The Lady Seahawks just playing its 5th game of the season was back in action tonight in the 3rd place game. The Lady Seahawks hosted the Hartsville HS Lady Red Foxes. The host Lady Seahawks were not very polite to Hartsville HS to start the game. The Lady Seahawks jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter on its way to a 55-34 victory.
Myrtle Beach improves to (4-1) now while Hartsville HS falls to (6-6) on the season. Both teams will now wait and see if they can get in the playoffs as a at-large team.
<strong>Out and Running: </strong>
The Myrtle Beach HS Lady Seahawks came out on fire scoring the first 20 points of the game before the Lady Red Foxes scored at 1:40 mark of the first quarter. The Lady Seahawks scored several baskets in transition to start the game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124097" first="Shillae" last="Campbell"]</strong> was great tonight with her play from the point guard position. Campbell finished the evening with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in the win. Campbell set her mates up all night and actually lost out on a few assists when teammates could finish on the other end. Campbell is crafty with the ball and really seems to see the floor with crisp passes.
<strong>Rebounding Edge: </strong>
The Lady Seahawks really put it to the undersized Red Foxes in the paint all night on the glass. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175357" first="Zaria" last="Dennis"] </strong>finished the evening with 10 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Dennis finished around the basket with her soft hands and showed a really nice touch from the foul line.

Did <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175355" first="Ameonta" last="Sutton"]</strong> play her last game in a Hartsville HS ? Sutton a aggressive scrappy guard was in the middle of several plays all night long for the Lady Red Foxes. Sutton might be short in height but sure not in heart and determination. Sutton was able to get the ball downhill to the basket and didn’t mind sacrificing her body to take a charge. Sutton finished the game with 12 points. The Lady Red Foxes will have to get into the playoffs as a at-large team now.

The Lady Seahawks had two left-handed players make good contributions last night. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175335" first="Jasmyn" last="Jenkins"]</strong> a eighth grader finished with 7 points while <strong>Starashia Alston</strong> added 10 points.
<strong>Region 6-4A Championship Game:</strong>
North Myrtle Beach HS defeated Darlington HS last night 39-25 to win the region tourney. The Lady Chiefs and Lady Falcons will represent in the region in the playoffs.
